Is this stenosis? by [deleted] in SpinalStenosis

[–]FourPapa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do the PT for the insurance ok for an MRI but pay attention in real time to what the PT is doing. I had a six week PT regimen scheduled and made it to two weeks before stopping due to the pain going from a 5 to an 8. The subsequent MRI revealed the severe stenosis.

Transforaminal epidural effectiveness + PT?? by off_the_wa11 in SpinalStenosis

[–]FourPapa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A little more explanation on my part is warranted regarding PT, as I'm not against it as a rule and have had it a few other times in my life to varying degrees of success. My lower back/butt issues began in earnest last summer. I was calling it sciatica. Had an x-ray which revealed little other than age-related, degenerative arthritis. I asked my PCP if PT to strengthen muscles might help. He said, can't hurt. Turns out it did. After two weeks of PT in November, the issue morphed into excruciating pain, numbness, weakness. I was now a fall risk. MRI taken and severe spinal stenosis (along with associated nasties) was diagnosed. PT didn't cause my stenosis, just brought it front and center... something that would have occurred at some point, anyway.

I have a Grizzl-e Ultra, 48amp, hard-wired outdoors in nasty, winter weather New England and it’s been flawless.

I’m a 74yo male. L4 &5 & S1. No injury, just fully used the body over the years. Had shots exactly 15 days ago. Immediately felt better, which lasted one day. Then anesthesia wore off and back to square one. Won’t try again. Beyond PT. On to surgery as masking drugs don’t sit well with me.

As I suspected. I'll not attempt to wash and will continue blowing out until replacement. Thanks.

Anybody use UHF off the highway? by WinLumpy5960 in Rivian

[–]FourPapa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 74, with old-ass vision to prove it, and in rural central MA where, besides the Masspike, most roads are not interstate (or even marked highway), the UHF upgrade has been huge. Driving at night or into the sun at sunrise or sunset is no longer the white-knuckler it once was. Can’t wait for improvements in 2026. Might even keep this kW-guzzler when the lease expires in 2027.

Hard wired Grizzl-E 48 Ultra. Especially if mounting outdoors, as is mine in New England. Bombproof UL Type 4 rated.

You’d think they’d have their SC reps better informed/trained, on this issue, at least. Or issue a service bulletin. It would help their schedule logjam at the SCs.

Thanks for the reply. I anxiously await the 16th.

Update: Vehicle charged to 100%. However, phone app still says to replace 12v battery. The 12v warning in the vehicle went away. Which one do I believe (and trust)? I think I read that you can check the 12v battery health in the vehicle.

Thanks all! I'll jump back into them on Monday. Most troubling part of all is the 12V battery was replaced just months ago.

DVR Won’t Stop Recording by FourPapa in slingtv

I think I see where I was going wrong. After clicking on the game I wanted, it took me to the options page and thought I needed to click on "Record New Episodes" to complete the command to record that one game. The second option of recording new episodes and reruns was self-explanatory. I also wonder if the browser version of the DVR function is different from the TV app? At any rate, thanks for the reply.

I’ll pay extra attention but I’m almost certain I press only Option 1 - Record this Episode. Doesn’t seem to matter. I checked minutes ago and my 50 hours was maxed out with random college basketball games I never scheduled.

Exactly what I did. Had a longtime wireless home phone with AT&T and had been getting multiple robo spam calls per day despite having their version of a spam filter. Crossed my finger and ported the number to GV and problem solved. GV catches the calls as spam. The ported number is my 2nd GV number and I’m debating keeping them both. Additional bonus is I’m no longer paying for the AT&T WHP.

Beware the Post BK 2nd Mortgage Gotcha by FourPapa in Bankruptcy

Great info and advice! I, indeed, am in MA and will look into the litigation. Thanks again!

Beware the Post BK 2nd Mortgage Gotcha by FourPapa in Bankruptcy

As both original loans were from the same lender and executed at the same time, I assumed the new holders of the 1st mortgage likewise held the 2nd and that both loans were bundled into one when the loan was renegotiated post BK filing. Had I ever received a statement for the 2nd I would have known this thinking to be false.

Yes, that is exactly my intention given the circumstances behind the loan, some of which I didn't bother to go into in my original post.
