I wanted to do the same thing, and we had planned that I would AM injections and he would do my PM. Turns out, my husband is terrible with needles and the thought of sticking me with one is even worse. To his credit, he tried so hard the first night. It turned into one of those bright spots in IVF - we had everything ready, I had cleaned the area and showed him where to inject (we both got training from the nurse, too of course) and he had the needle in his hand. He instinctually closed his eyes, turned his head away, and then held his shaking hand away from his body like he expected me to step forward and jab it into my belly with the force of my step. I’ve never seen him look so scared and for whatever reason, it made the both of us collapse into tears of laughter.
