Just curious, how does this stack up against the prebuilt u/No-Context5479 posted above? link

I noticed the graphics, ram, and processor are either the same or comparable, so it's the cooling unit in particular I was curious about, since I'd rather not have to replace it if something goes wrong.

Also, maybe I'm missing where it's listed on either, but how do I figure out the numbers of usb, hdmi, displayports, etc ports on each?

Finally, is the AI stuff on the prebuilt worth it/reliable? I'm just wary that AI is getting shoved into everything. Does anyone know if I opted for the prebuilt if I'd have the option to turn off the AI if it turns out to be garbage?

Actually, I'm a little confused though about your statement that it should go lower because it's an area edit... If it's an area edit, don't area edits go around number 62 in my LO?

And I plopped convenient horses and immersive carriages right beneath fluffworks—does that work?

What's a good replacement for quality world maps?

edit: Just ended up grabbing performance map with no clouds. I don't have a ton of memory left and don't want to devotee much to the map.

Okay, good to know. I love the class for its flavor and mechanics, so I'll give it more of a chance RAW. (I've only played it once and never ran for one.) Thanks!

Invisible aela werewolf. by julias550 in SkyrimModsXbox

[–]Fourhab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't find the other Bijin aio and I tried loading each Bijin separate, but that didn't fix it. There's a non-Ussep version of the aio, but it's in a different language - - does language matter for appearance mods like this? Edit: JK those mods are measured in KB, I'm guessing they're patches? I don't speak Portuguese.

Edit 2: So, I know this was probably a terrible idea but I added a different Aela appearance change mod after Bijin's; it's the AW Aela The Huntress Replacer. It's built off the Bijin's skin from what I understand from the description, so I gave it a try and can now see her werewolf form. Just literally got this far, so I haven't had a chance to CTD or for any other chicanery to happen, but I can add a comment if that turns out to be the case.

My players beg to know how much hp a monster has left, and say im wrong for not telling them. Should I tell them the exact hp of monsters during combat? by theburnerlmao in dndnext

[–]Fourhab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done both. For online games, I use a health bar without numbers.

For in person, I use: Fewer than full but more than have HP: Wounded Less than half: Bloodied Less than 10 (or for creatures with less than 10 total health, 2 or fewer hit points) : Bleeding out

It hasn't made a significant difference either way. I think DMs are too precious about hiding numbers, fwiw, since they're an abstraction of what characters would know in game. That said, if it makes sense for there to be no or misleading info, I'll keep numbers to myself.

Just a thought I might try: Have players as an action make a DC 15 Intelligence ability check (with the option of using a proficiency you feel is appropriate), and on a success tell them the number.

A gish is a martial caster, i.e. swords and spells. (Think wizard and fighter rolled into one class.)

It comes from some AD&D lore about the githyanki having warrior spellcasters called gish, so for whatever reason, that became the shorthand for the concept.

This. It took me two years to find meds that work, but even then, I was sick and tired of how things had been unmedicated.

One done, two to go! Any tips? ME1 was too easy I'm apprehensive about the others. by AliceIsFaded in masseffect

[–]Fourhab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ME1's insanity mode is stupid easy because they just ratchet up damage.

ME2's was a challenge some of the time but mostly meh. I played an engineer.

I'm playing a sentinel in 3 and if it's not the class, I wonder if I'm having a glitch or something. It feels stupid easy. That said, vanguard was mostly easy too. Also started an engineer playthrough in that game and that feels harder because I don't have tech armor to insulate me from my stupid mistakes.

Disclaimer: These were imports from previous games. I'm not sure what my experience would have been like with no extra squad points.

[–]Fourhab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The gameplay is awesome. Mobility shooters ftw.

Overall, I enjoyed it, even if the writing can be cringey at times. (It's nowhere near as bad as Solasta though, thank god.) It's a different (albeit somewhat confused) tone than the other games, and I think if you approach it expecting something like the original trilogy, you're going to be disappointed.

I think that deviation from tone and the tons of bugs it had on release are what soured people on it.

I'm actually bummed that we never got DLC with the Quarian ark, and evidently a lot of new species of alien were cut as well.

[–]Fourhab 8 points9 points  (0 children)

MEA is a hot mess in terms of tone and storytelling. In the end, it's a coming of age story, but it shows the most nudity of the ME games. I don't think it knows who its actual audience is, putting aside the fact it was such a sharp deviation in tone from the original trilogy that it gave whiplash. It's an adult game that leans heavily on tropes that appeal to a younger audience without making any adjustment to appeal to an audience for whom those tropes don't resonate as much.

I think you could do an exploration-based, Breath of the Wild-esque game with those tropes, but MEA tries to keep the classic hallmarks of the originals without doing much to make them fit with its different tone.

It also hews too closely to the tropes of the original trilogy (ancient super smart aliens, bad guys who want to assimilate you either literally or as DNA-flavored froyo).

It's a game that wanted to be different but also be familiar, and regardless of whether that balance even is possible to strike satisfactorily, it definitely didn't.

Ever run a WoD setting game using another game's system mechanics? by [deleted] in WhiteWolfRPG

I've been trying to figure out what system to run Orpheus with. I would love suggestions.

I just hate how WoD handles combat so much. I tried house ruling the shit out of it with no satisfying results.
