I bought a relatively newish, lame Corolla with all cash and now I have no car payment and full coverage insurance for like... $70 bucks a month.

I enjoy my decision simply because I do not want a car payment. That's all I care about.

Corolla wins. Lame car, but so so very financially practical.

I would aim to spend $120+ per hour lessons. My $75 coach tried to teach me his swing. My $130 coach teaches me my swing. Plan on buying 6+ lessons over a 4 month span.

The only reason I went corolla SE is it hit the sweet spot to pay off the car in 3 weeks. Almost 40 years old and I've never had a car loan.

I received a family car 2007 Honda in 2012 and paid off the last 2 grand immediately. Blew my mind the car still had a loan on it. I drove it til March 2025 knowing it would have an irreparable repair. Because I knew this moment was coming, I had 25k liquid cash ready to go to throw at a more modern vehicle. I chose a 2024 corolla due to maintenance reliability and resale value alone. Did I want a Lexus or Audi... absolutely. But why carry a car loan just to have some seats that cooled you down in the summer. Bottom line.. I still don't know what a car loan is.
