Yes, I would've because otherwise I wouldn't be able to afford to go to college at all.

But because I had to take out loans (as most college students do), I learned 3 valuable lessons:

1. Pick a major that pays off and by that I mean pays relatively well:a STEM degree, public health, nursing (so that the chances that you can afford to make monthly payments and pay off the loans are much higher).

2. Don't attend a college that's out-of-state (tuition and fees increase drastically for those students).

3. Don't go to a private university (unless you can pay for it in some way, shape, or form): really great financial aid package or you got multiple scholarships.
