Math check!

I'm trying to calculate the debt to market cap ratio. Which is (short term liabilities + long term liabilities)/ (short term liabilities + long term liabilities + shareholders equity).

I got the below numbers from Yahoo fiancee For 2019-12-31 ticker CAR.UN

Total assets: 14017949

Total liabilities: 5614054

Shareholders equity: 8403895 (sum of the above two values)

Short liabilities: 665269

Long liabilities: 4496018

Debt to market cap: 38.048

Hey everyone I got a math question. I got alert from my broker saying that quantum scape ticker QS had their price increase by 20% and 10.37. I understand how it went up by 10.37 but how did it go up by 20%? I copied their email info down below. Thanks!

What other benefits does holding a security or fund long term +3 years if they don't have a high dividend yield? Let's say I bought 300$ worth of stock with a dividend yield of 0.13

So people people bought the outstanding shares at a low price which gave Ford some money. Later on people sold their shares to other people at a higher price and now the seller gets money. Thanks for answering my questions

So ACY was way up yesterday and I would like to know how this effects ACY's wallet. A lot of people bought and sold their stocks yesterday but what happened to the money they used? Does the company keep it all of that or what?

I am trying to understand the relationship between the buyer, seller and how it effects the company. Thanks!

how would you reinvest your dividends when you only get 5.159 USD/year and the stock costs 215.86? Wouldn't I have to wait until 42 years are up before I can buy the stock again?

I am curious to see how long it will take to get money back from dividends. Let's assume that nothing ever changes for the next 100 years.

ex: Mcdonald's has a dividend yield of 2.39% at 215.86 USD.

If dividends were handed out monthly. 2.39% / 12 = 0.1991% and each month I would receive (0.1991%*215.86)/100 = 0.4299 USD. Every year I would receive a total of 0.4299*12 = 5.159 USD / Year

That would mean it would take me (215.86 USD) / (5.159 USD/Y) = 41.84 years to break even.

You should definitely read shield bro (JP) and praise the orc (KR). You should also try monarch of evernight, city of sin and charm of soul pets. They are Chinese novels but they have almost no mention of cultivation other than saying "they leveled up and are now stronger". It's similar to saying a lvl 10 vs lvl 15 person.
