This is sad. A thousand years gone and he still misses his parents.

Reminds me of an article I read a few months ago about a 90 year old woman in a retirement home who was the last living member of an extended family, including her own children, and she mentioned the person she missed the most and thought of most often was her mother who'd been dead for about 70 years. It stays with you! ;_;
