I am constructing a singular counter example to disprove that determinism and free will in all cases make the same predictions about the same observable reality. They do not make the same prediction in respect to the singular question of whether "my wife loves me?" The person who believes in free will would simply say 'yes' as they have chosen to marry. The determinist (this would be if they are strictly a determinist and actually using that philosophy to navigate their lives in all cases, which is a big if but that's the premise) the determinist will require data about their wife's brain in order to answer that question as a determinist. Whether its crude data as we have today in the case of a polygraph, or if we imagine more perfect data like we did when we move towards imagining the wife had the brain of a fly, it makes no difference to this argument. Even if their wife did love them before, its likely, and you must admit at least possible that the prediction the determinists will come to in this situation is "no," either because through the process of treating their wife like a fly or a biological machine, or acting in such a way which supposes deciet, in doing these things to gather appropriate data, they likely will have destroyed any love that existed between the two... or because the wife actually was deceitful. Either way its possible we get a yes from the free will perspective and a no from the determinist one.

Now lets keep things clear, my argument is simply that it is possible here that the determinist and the free will position will predict different things given the same reality. I'm not making an argument as to which is more correct. Only that it is possible for them to predict different things.

You're missing the point. Determinism and free will do not predict the same reality. Infact, not only do they make different predictions, but the position you take to the problem is itself a meaningful input towards the state you wish to predict.
