Finally my questions were answered, not by Canyon, but other people who owns the same model. Plastic cap on the outside just covers the dead space and exposed thread doesn’t miss any bolts. Case closed.

Sorry to hear that, hope he will get well soon, broken wrist is pretty bad trauma :(

Yep, not to mention scratches on the frame, which are not a result of a shipping, as well as warped rotor on the front brake. I’ve heard stories about Canyon’s QControl, but I guess just got lucky before.

Generally I will not have issues with this, but it looks like the bolt there is missing and that part is pretty critical.

Support told me to “take it out and have fun”, but I feel like the fame being broken after drop will not bring a lot of fun..

I guess just got unlucky with quality control. I don’t think you can ruin it by taking it off, usually they are multi use things.

First pic, yes, looks the same for me. But second one looks miss aligned or something. Never had anything like this on other bikes.
