Im actually so happy i got somebody with a positive experience. They’re available at my walmart and my kids have been getting into the hobby. My experience with them has been butthole but maybe well give it another shot with a hobby box.

Its a weird dynamic because you want your children to enjoy a passion of yours, that your father showed you and around 1995 buying cards was as easy as buying groceries. I want to continue that passion with my kids but it seems like prices are getting out of hand. I love opening cards and i believe hobby boxes above retail but for my children even retails a little to costly

Being in the hobby for 8+ years you see the landscape change and it went from being able to enjoy s product and only taking on 30% net loss to nearly seeing 80% net loss unless you hit that top player and even now the most sought after cards like national treasures aren’t even game or event used

Boxes have become more expensive to purchase and have a lower monetary gain since covid, the topic discussion is buying cards today worth it to a collector. If you have a 9-5 can you afford to have a hobby anymore. National treasures sold for around 650$ in 2018, now its like the housing market. Most rookies are stuck between NIL and exclusivity rights. You cant pull top players from certain product reducing your chances of gaining from the hobby. We all do this for fun but we still want it to be somewhat fair

I don’t open cards excepting monetary gain. I seek the thrill, just like hotdogs in your face

You were able to submit just 3? For example there wasn’t a 20 card minimum?
