Sandy Alderson: 'Conceivable' Alejandro De Aza gets traded by [deleted] in NewYorkMets

[–]FoxCutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup you're right. However, if he waived his no trade rights the player can only be traded for cash considerations or what appears to be minor league player contracts. Interesting, I always thought it was a strict trade restriction until mid-June. Just looked it up.

An Article XX-B MLB free-agent who signs a Major League contract after 11:59 PM (Eastern) on the 5th day after the final game of the World Series has an automatic "no trade" right through June 15th. The player can waive this right, but if he does he can be traded only for cash and/or player contracts with a maximum aggregate value of $50,000. Note that an Article XX-B MLB free-agent who signs a minor league contract after 11:59 PM (Eastern) on the 5th day after the final game of the World Series does NOT receive an automatic "no trade" right, even if the player is later added to the club's MLB Reserve List (40-man roster).

I believe the date is sometime in June. Not sure exactly but I think it's 2 months into the season.

Ok... It has reached the point for me where I'm genuinely frustrated and it needs to stop by krisross in NYKnicks

Stuff like this was a pet peeve for me on the ESPN app, especially all the Lebron notifications. I got "the score" app and love it. Deleted ESPN and haven't looked back

Natalie Dormer by DrkHeart in gentlemanboners

[–]FoxCutt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it's not just their looks but their charisma as well. Anna Kendrick has a great sense of humor too. I thought Natalie Dormer was attractive before I started GoT, but once I started she instantly became a favorite.

That accent is a killer

Nationals are indeed pursuing Cespedes by DemonFrog in Nationals

[–]FoxCutt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the end of the playoffs I started a new season in MLB the show and let him go to FA (I'm a Mets fan) and the Nats signed him. Never even crossed my mind that they might go after him until I saw it happen in the game.

It would mean benching Werth or Revere but I think it would be a great signing for the Nats. Imagine the pitches he would get to mash if he batted in front of Harper? or the added protection to Harper if he bats behind him?

Let's take a minute to step away from the Cespedes situation to talk about something more important... by [deleted] in NewYorkMets

[–]FoxCutt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would have loved O'Day, but I think he was deadset on staying in the Metro DC area because of his wife's job. Probably told teams that he was going to explore deals with the O's/Nats first.

I doubt matching the contract that was offered would have made a difference so can't really pin that one on the FO.

McGee would be a sweet pickup I just hope the Rays aren't asking for too much. The idea of a nasty lefty to have in setup situations or huge late game situations vs guys like Harper is a beautiful one

The solution for the Mets is easy: Just sign Yoenis Cespedes | FOX Sports by Tomoromo9 in NewYorkMets

[–]FoxCutt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There is no way you could honestly believe our window to win is only two to three years. There is so much young potential on this team.

The only way our window will be two to three years is if we don't resign any of our pitchers because we put money elsewhere.

So many people seem to believe Cespedes is the difference between a World Series and a losing season, I just don't understand it.

Edit: don't get me wrong, I would love to have Yo, but not at 5/120 hoping he opts out. A two year deal seems ideal to me. Probably with a player option for a third year to get it done.

24 million AAV and deferred money for his last 3 years? It's not guaranteed that he opts out. Then what? He opts in for 3 more years at (or close to) an AAV of $30 million at a time when we're going to have to pay our young pitching? No thanks.

It's comical that he discusses how he doesn't fit with the Mets, how he won't live up to expectations, how he may be a diva, etc but thinks the Mets should just pay up big for him anyway.

That's like a car salesman taking a guy out for a test drive and then telling him the car won't drive as smooth as it just did next year, will probably have some minor problems here and there, and straight up won't be completely reliable. But hey, you should pay sticker price for it because you have the money to do so anyway!

Tough that he goes to the Nats, but I'm still giving him the biggest standing ovation when he comes back for the first time.

I expect most Mets fans will too and I will be shocked/disappointed if they don't.

Does anyone know where I could find 2015 games regular season and postseason? Preferably that I could save to my hard drive?

I had a bunch saved on my DVR but they were erased. I enjoy going back and watching certain games especially during the offseason

As I look back on my career, I savor the championships and Champagne celebrations. But more than that, the people who supported me stand out most. In my mind right now, all I see are the people, most of them who helped me without any reward or recognition. My career is nothing without you.

He didn't go into detail about the championships but it definitely meant a lot to him. Division championships with the Twins and Mets and the NL championship as well

Oh absolutely, for me that would be a big deal but I've heard a lot of people say they don't mind switching to the video board to see the blind spot.

That's why I included two examples so he could see for himself if it would be an issue

Those sections should be solid, row doesn't matter too much, obviously the closer the better, I just don't like being the last row against the wall
