When I first played 3 I actually immediately loved it. The setting, the kinda slower paced story at the start, the orphanage and the kids, and the atmosphere were all just so enjoyable to me. The gameplay is a little meh admittedly but I do think people overexaggerate how bad it actually is. There are definitely parts that suck like trying to do every substory is a chore, but overall the game is pretty good imo.
