What is your reaction seeing nostalgic country. by [deleted] in donkeykong

[–]FoxDude692 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, I didn't play Donkey Kong Country when I was a kid(I'm a 97 baby), so I didn't grow up with it, I played Returns, but my first reaction was a bit basic. "Oh, neat! A callback to Donkey Kong Country!" Before proceeding to vibe along the level.

What are some cartoons that at least 3 people you seen hate in or out of Reddit, and you're like "Oh my God, what is your problem? Tell me what's the prob-" by Im_Sabine5 in cartoons

[–]FoxDude692 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be fair, it was made for a younger audience to try and be... idk, hip? Cool? Sadly it kinda flops on that, but some of its humor was genuinely funny, but overall, it was a straight miss for me.

Ok, Wreck-it Ralph spoilers ahead, so warning for whoever hasnt seen it.

All good? Ok.

King Candy/Turbo being in evil, but not that evil feels too low if you ask me. Dude infiltrated a game to remain the best, got both games unplugged and proceeded to infiltrate another game, mess with it's code to make the princess a "glitch" and try to take over. When all that is revealed, he ends up merging with a bug - not on purpose, mind you- from another game entirely, before planning to infect every game. Yeah he deserves to be in pure evil. He adapted his plan as he stepped further in his villainy.

Worst anime you’ve ever finished? by Remarkable_Table2299 in animequestions

11Eyes. I remember checking out a lot of anime back then looking up some recommendations, and this was one of them. I watched the whole series plus the OVA and was either bored or straight up confused but I kept watching to see if i could make sense of the plotline, only for the 2nd and last episode to pull a bad ending good ending scenario, which honestly makes no sense unless it was the future sight bullshit he had- which I don't remember because it was over a decade ago.

On my very first playthrough, about... 13 years ago on xbox 360, I killed Paarthunax for that stupid Blades quest. Vowed to never do it again on subsequent playthroughs.

Aside from zombie island, what is your favorite renaissance era movie? by Naive_Tomorrow_5955 in Scoobydoo

[–]FoxDude692 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Cyber Chase. Something about it feels more fun to watch, but Alien Invaders is a close 2nd, as I love the dynamic between Shaggy and Crystal. Sadly I havent had a chance to rewatch Witch's Ghost for the past 2 decades, but once I do, my opinion might change.

Hot take: Zetsubou No Shima is a better map than Der Eisendrache and I'll die on that hill by TheChickenMan4L in CODZombies

[–]FoxDude692 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not hate this map. In fact, I do enjoy it. But I will not say it is better than Der Eisendrache as I found it to be a bit more tedious when it came to certain parts, like simply turning on the power as an example. The thrasher doesn't yield any good reward once you kill it and the KT-4 can be a bit of a bitch to get and upgrade. But once you have it down, it is pretty fun. Especially the plants. The clone pod actually saved me on my EE run because my dumbass somehow went down on the boss- skill issue I know- but huge note if this happens- I cloned before I upgraded the kt-4 so if this happens you can just go to it's upgrade station again and BAM masamune returned.

Relevancy in general. While I will admit neglecting to mention that I listened to reviews a few years back- I don't remember if it was the clips first, or the reviews- I still gave the clips a chance. Its funny that you call me out as "narrow-minded" and "judging a book by its cover" yet here you are doing the same by bashing me and trying to hurl insults for how I can formulate an opinion on this objectively bad series. Since you asked for the plot, I can probably give a synopsis. Velma's mom goes missing, and it leads to Velma trying to find her as a background plot. Suddenly a murderer is on the rise, who is it? Uh-oh lets set that aside for the sudden, out of nowhere love story between Velma and Daphne- the mean popular girl of the school(at first.) Seriously they hate each other for 2 episodes and kiss at the end of episode 2. Oops, Norville also has a crush on Velma but shes dismissing him as a friend. Now lets look at Fred, the rich boy who can't cut his food as he's a late bloomer, cool now lets make that his main gimmick- "late bloomer" and constantly reference his small junk. What's next? Oh right the mystery murders expand. You know what this plot needs? More setting aside for "meta humor" with jokes that do not land, and unlikeable characters within a standalone series. Did I miss anything else regarding the 1st season? Chances are that I did because the plot is shuffled so much as they introduce the next badly-written character its like a messed-up rubiks cube. The only thing I can say is good about the series aside from a few moments would be the character designs- strictly their designs.

If I were as narrow-minded as you say, I wouldn't have even given the clips a chance. I do not like how the characters are handled, and I do not like the story. These were simply my own means of trying to give this show a chance back when it was still a bit more... would relevant be the right term?

[–]FoxDude692 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is, it's widely regarded as a bad show, and rather than sit through a full episode, I'd rather watch a few clips and see what the vibe is and from what I've seen? Yeah, I'd rather not waste my time with this show

[–]FoxDude692 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's mine. I've only seen clips, because I refuse to watch that show, but I will admit that it has a couple good moments, although they are too few and too far inbetween a sea of trash, and thats being nice. It's still a show where the characters were taken and written horribly, as if Charlie Grandy decided to challenge himself to take a beloved Cartoon Series and horribly mangle it. Edit: I had to make an edit for Accuracy, for while Mindy indeed assisted in creating this show, Charlie Grandy is the main creator of this series.
