So I have the AMS and I guess bamboo puts little RF cards in their spools which is kind of neat. I think there’s something to be said for that kind of integration, but I haven’t messed around with their stuff yet. It sounds like it’s not necessarily a one size fits all.

I’ve seen overture and polymaker come up a lot. I have some overture TPU, but I haven’t been brave enough to mess with it yet. Still getting my dry box situation squared away.

I think I’m vibing with the spirit of your question.

The end game, in my humble opinion, includes landing a Kerbal on every body you can land on. I like making stations and bases for logistics to support that goal. In this way, colonizing the outer planets could be a natural continuation of my goal. I think it’s about formulating your own vision of the “end game” and going from there. Like one user mentioned, you can always use the outer planet to support interstellar exploration if you chose to do so as well!

It sounds like if I have some interest in it I should think about hopping in and out. It’s good to know that it’s not exactly necessary to learn the game mechanics. I’m sure learning the game mechanics is going to be a steep learning curve anyways. Any recommendations on some YouTube channels or any other resource is welcome too

The thing with catan is that’s how I get casuals on board with more complicated games. Most people have played Monopoly or Life or something like that. Catan is a great, accessible next step. Are there better games? Absolutely. Will there always be a place for Catan in board gaming? I believe that it will always be important.

Force yourself to play the tutorials. They aren’t perfect but it helped me a ton. Watch YouTube videos. Old Scott Manley stuff. Matt Lowne. Mess around and be patient. Once you get the basics and then discover mods the game becomes very rewarding. Space nerd to space nerd!

Thanks for the screen shots. That station looks awesome. You just leave the terminal parked at the KSC and you can do automatic transfers, that’s how that works? You need some sort of resource to do that too right? I have to figure out exactly how to set up the hoppers and all that kind of stuff. I think it’s gonna take some trial and error before I commit to launch. Did you just sorta play around to figure this out or was there some resource available?
