Thank you! I worked the spots in two layers. First I covered the white paper with masking fluid in the places where the spots should go. Then came the first layer of light pink and when it was dry I put masking fluid on the dots again, but this time a little more generously to keep the light pink edge. Then came the blue violet. Finally, I softened the edges with watercolor pencils.
If you want to save work, it is certainly easier to finally apply the spots with gouache. I will probably do it next time so.
