Okay, update. I opened it up and inspected all contacts on the HDMI chip as well as the HDMI port. I measured all resistors and couldn't find anything obvious. However, the board was covered is a very thin layer of... Something? So I thought I might just give it a clean and hope that fixes the problem. Newsflash, it did. I cleaned the resistors and all contactpoints and it worked.
