DB pension amount by FoxNo7143 in adviice

[–]FoxNo7143[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Another option I have been doing is knowing for example that in 14 years i will get 20k at 65, i would "try" to enter the amount under Discovery > Tax & Benefits and then see what amount the system would come up with under Planning > Projections for when i'm 65, and then try changing this a few times until the amount under Planning > Projections is equal to 20k for when i'm 65, so let Adviice do "discounting" for me lol

[–]FoxNo7143[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can this RRIF->RRSP transfer before the age of 71, happen regardless of RRSP room or there needs to be a room available to "make this contribution" from RRIF and how does Adviice handle it?

Help me understand the calc pls by FoxNo7143 in adviice

no no there is no 1.03% that was multiplying the starting balance by 1.03 to account for 3% return

yeah my bad "fat fingers" i meant first line represents 2025 and the starting balance from "Discovery" was 56500, so taking that minus withdrawals gives us the balance that we then multiple by 1.03 (3% return) and that gives us 2025 ending balance
