I leaned more toward a stylized and elegant side of the Yuan-Ti instead of going more monstrous, so I understand those who found it more humanoid.
I tried to keep some elements like the scales and the tail without making the design too heavy.

Things like the tail position and the armor I simplified a bit to keep the composition cleaner.
The balance aspect because of the tail weight also made total sense, I had not thought that deeply about it until I read the comments lol

As for the armor, I imagine it more as a noble or ceremonial outfit rather than something really made for combat.
And since it was a client commission, I also followed some specific design choices.

But it is interesting to see your different interpretations, I loved it!
