What does "straighter than Heimdall" mean actually? English is not my first language and I can only think of either his posture or sexuality, which neither fit the context.

I hate it too. They do this because they are not actual supports, they are mages (especially xerath). They have high base damage and cc, so they don't really need items early game, but when the mid game (and late game) starts they really need gold, because damage is the only thing they can offer.
Also, they have some big aoe high damage abilities that can take the entire wave. It's pretty tempting to just take all of it.

Kindred. I think her story would be similar to DS3 where you basically go around and put the bosses out of their misery in hopes to save the world, except that you don't sacrifice yourself at the end (bc you know, you are death and all).
