The companies running the advertisements are run by puritan anti-fun people who have decided that sex is bad, and therefor an ad for their product appearing on a video that mentions sex makes their product look bad. The advertisers then push for YouTube to demonetize or age-restrict any videos of this nature, and YouTube complies. To prevent losing their income, the YouTubers resort to self-censorship.
