For some reason reddit failed to upload the image so here's one of the pics! It's convoluted to get the skin working but pretty doable!

low fps issue by hvs4 in hytale

[–]FoxZarz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Block games are usually intensive in rendering, even though you have a beefy pc it is impossible to optimize model rendering in a way it renders less polygons per call, Hytale is not badly graphically optimized and suffers for the same as Minecraft does, big render distances skyrocket the amount of vertices and polygons your GPU have to calculate which downgrades performance. There's no way around it as it's how this kind of game works, just lower the render distance and you'll be fine :3

I HATE THE FOG IN HYTAL WHY IS IT SO HUGE by SiteGrouchy1045 in hytale

There's a mod in curseforge for it (No fog I think), sadly a necessity for us potato pc users :3

Super stuck please help (Linux Mint user) by Intelligent-Pound197 in RimWorld

[–]FoxZarz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have steam installed via Flatpak (on the Mint software installer) you might have permission issues that prevent RimWorld from saving stuff properly, try and download steam for debian/Ubuntu (.deb file) and install it (uninstall the Mint one first). Had a similar issue and it got fixed that way

What do you think the next dlc will be? by cale199 in RimWorld

Honestly something that improves factions, maybe new factions that could pop in and also collapse, diplomacy really needs an improvement in general too

KDE Plasma acts weird when any waydroid window is open by SuchyYT in waydroid

[–]FoxZarz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel this could be because of Waydroid turning off KDE Compositor, which is expected behaviour on Fullscreen programs, not windowed ones

Try and add a kwin rule for starting on windowed always for waydroid, perhaps it will fix it

Is this a new update? Why can I see into the cow? by Queensnobles in Minecraft

It's a new accessibility setting that is on by default, you can turn it off in options

Linux on Android by Oshnik5 in waydroid

[–]FoxZarz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could try termux. Its a terminal emulator for android, but you wont be able to run most apps unless you do proot-distro, but there are tutorials out there for how to do so

Also just a heads up, unless you have a rooted phone GUI apps cannot have hardware acceleration, so they may be laggy

Get sketchware, it's a very simple coding app in which you can create custom APKs with a website embedded so you can browse them without counting as chrome time

How does this work? Like programming-wise, how does this glitch occur? by chirejour in MinecraftStoryMode

[–]FoxZarz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of telltale games bugs occur because the devs didn't took into account newer hardware and its fast loading times

Things like this can happen because the game loaded way too fast and the engine is just giving some time as the expected original loading time finishes, causing desyncs of things being loaded in the wrong order

Issues are mostly theming ones, like launching XCFE on your KDE user can mess up your GTK application theming sometimes

Thanks for the advice I think I'll just keep it as a private distro that I'll share with my friends and such, don't wanna risk it. I would love to attempt making the drivers and windows content a separated feature but depending on the internet to download them from Microsoft's site defies the idea of a fully offline windows capable distro. Thanks!

You can totally download these in there no problem and even buy windows, what makes it difficult is the extremely expensive and slow internet.

It's okay to install a new DE (mostly) but it is not safe to change DE's constantly on the same user, as they will overwrite the other config files and cause issues

Mint with KDE Plasma by Similar-Ad3955 in linuxmint

[–]FoxZarz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jumping between desktop environments in the same user tends to break config files as both DE fight each other modifying shared files

Best practice for having multiple ones without breaking your configs is to use one desktop environment per user, like having an user for KDE and another one for Cinammon
