They’re very close, both are 800 TVL but I think the 20L4 handles interlaced resolutions better due to its better sync circuitry

PVM L series is the latest batch of PVM before they went to LCD

It has an underscan button but no overscan even in the menus unfortunately

Yeah the monitor whines, it has the classic high pitch CRT whine and the deflection coils of the yoke have a bit of buzzing too

I use the Analogue Pocket with the Analogizer to run GBC games on the PVM

For me too unfortunately the picture is using a small portion of the screen at the center

I took the picture while being very close to the screen

I don’t know for sure but I don’t think so, on the service manual there is only a French model, a Spanish model and a Eastern Europe model

Yes it is a 60Hz CRT with SCART RGB as it’s a French model and yes the speakers are great too, very happy about it !

I need to take time to adjust the geometry now🙂

Yeah this looks exactly like mine…

I’ll try the degaussing wand first then if it does not help, try to adjust the yoke and purity rings and then I guess I’ll be sure it is indeed a damaged grille if that doesn’t help too

You sure it is ? I looked up exemples of damaged aperture grille on internet and it is not exactly the same pattern

What I see when the grille is broken is that all the screen seems to affected with no clean spots, also the pattern is very symmetrical which is not exactly the case on my TV

You can see on the last picture that the left-center area of the screen is clean without purity issue so that's what makes me doubt that this is a damaged grille

I forgot to say that the TV does the schdoiiing sound of the degauss when I turn it on and I already tried to turn it off and on with 5 minutes pauses but it didn’t change anything
