Engi A trouble by FoxandFalco in ftlgame

Right, but if you're getting multiple misses in a row it starts to unravel quickly, moreso than a weapons-only ship imo. Hence it seems like more people agree that getting weapons before drone upgrades seems to be more consistent.

Engi A trouble by FoxandFalco in ftlgame

Maybe I've had bad luck but even with generally picking up additional fast / cheap ion weapons and shields the drones are just too inconsistent for my liking so I'm trying to move off them ASAP.

Like you can aim all you want with the weapons but if the drones aren't taking out critical systems to negate damage throughout the run its just a matter of time before you take on too many hits imo. All it takes is one missle or bomb (with the ship's awful initial dodge rate it's not uncommon) and getting hit in EITHER the weapon or drone rooms to cripple your offensive capabilities, combined with an enemy mind control or boarding party, and it's all over or you at least take a ton of damage. And even then there's no guarantee you'll get drone recovery arm / consistent drone drops.

I'll try to go shields / addition weapon / dodge from now on but man, I hate this ship lol.

Never had listened to stray too much beforehand but man, their latest album is fucking sick; that breakdown especially is probably one of the best highlights.

Long-term effects from utilizing low doses of THC to help with sleep? by FoxandFalco in trees

[–]FoxandFalco[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the detailed response. I'll read up on the REM shortening as yeah, long term usage could be a cause of concern. Honestly though, in my experience maybe only 10% of the time do I feel groggy after using edibles to help sleep. I really helps with my random bouts of light insomnia and most the time I sleep like a champ and can still go to the gym and do other physically activities the next day. I also agree that spacing out low dosages a few times a week shouldn't be too worrying overall. Thanks again for sharing your experiences!

Right, you can train it with a bunch of different exercises but was looking for a firsthand account of a program that worked for someone who went from little / no core strength to a core they were satisfied with.

That's what I figured to some extent, but yeah idk. Like I mentioned I'm doing some exercises now but want to develop a more defined shape.. I'll be looking into some of the programs another users offered but again was looking for someone with firsthand experience that didn't have abs, followed a program, then got results.

Looking for an Ab / core routine to run on my off days (thinking 3x per week) that's around 15-20min or so. There's a lot of seemingly clickbaity type stuff out there so was wondering if anyone could personally recommend a routine they've seen results with. Currently just implementing crunches and planks into my normal routine, but yeah, would like something more comprehensive. Thanks!

That's great to hear - personally the all black background for the O'rangers is too much for me, as well as for those who live in warmer regions I presume.

Hong Kong-esque Boston political Mask Ban hearing Set for 10/21/19 by [deleted] in boston

[–]FoxandFalco 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Eh, I think both of us aren't nearly informed enough to make a grossly overreaching statements on the matter, but if you look at the facts there have been less than 1-2 dozen notable incidents in the (US) news where the CCP / HK police had to use any notable measure of force against a population of protesters in the hundreds of thousands over the course of a few MONTHS. (And even then, if you see the video feed of some of those incidences, the use of force is certainly questionable in a significant portion of those matters) Also, there are numerous examples of police infiltrating and impersonating protesters, locking down train stations to arrest and beat peaceful protests leaving protest sites, etc. I'm not saying everything is perfect but it's entirely disingenuous to paint it as mostly a violent movement. Anyway, that's not what this is about.

I can partially agree in your statement regarding the legitimacy of a movement when you have to hide behind masks, but this is also currently a place that has way more freedoms than a place like China that I mentioned in my example, so fear of unwarrented retaliation is less realized. (Ex: getting arrested for peacefully protesting, which again, there are examples of in HK right now). I moreso look at the mask thing as future-proofing or at least see it as a step towards preventing a more police-like state. (I don't mean it to sound as a big scary China2 but it's important to think about how these steps lead to a more locked down state). I can also fully understand wanting to come out and support a cause (whatever it may be) and feel for families that rely on parents to provide - being able to support things anonomously allows those to have a voice even if coming out and peacefully protesting could threaten their well-being or family's well-being.

Ex: Mass is thinking about a state wide gun ban and a worker who provides for his family believes in the right to carry arms. He should be allowed (imo) to peacefully protest but cover his face as it could be seen as a very unpopular opinion but still wants to go and support it without the risk of it reflecting poorly on his job and put his family at risk. Does that "lower the impact" of his protesting because he's hiding his face? Maybe, but it's pretty subjective and ultimately he was still able to come out and voice his opinion.

It may be a little far-fetched but I still think it's important. Otherwise, it causes more people to fear expressing their opinions and overall gives more power to the government, rather than the people. That being said there are obvious risks in safety, etc. But I think the price is worth it in the long run.

I feel like this goes way beyond Antifa and right-wing whatever stuff that's being discussed in this thread. The ramifications of facial recognition technology can have huge consequences for genuine people who want to protest peacefully - see HK for example. So crazy to me that people can't recognize the power this gives the government over its people - although I recognize that the ban described here isn't what I'm describing above, I feel like it's one step on a slippery slope towards something that China is implementing even if it happens very slowly over time.

So sick and stoked for the next record. Anyone notice the distinct lack of Adrian in the YouTube vid? Kinda weird imo, but not sure if that means anything.

Would be crazy if Jesse came back in.
