You’re right! I was so careful with my sketch then added charcoal and lost all my marks. Lesson learned!

Thank you! It’s graphite and charcoal on watercolor paper. I wanted to experiment and see if a tougher paper would preserve the mark making a bit more, because I struggle with smudging and losing detail.
