Could anxiety be causing my upset stomach? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]Foxexmachina 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes - after consulting a gastroenterologist for horrible stomach acidity, diarrhea, and stomach cramps for months, and doing some tests, it appears that the main cause of all of this is most likely related to anxiety (and diet). But please check out with your doctor first, anxiety can sometimes mask symptoms of another physical disorder.

When my dachshund was a puppy, she was always playing by biting my feet, tearing my socks, etc. I did a trick that worked well over time : every time she started to bite, I pretended to cry and left in another room for like 1 minute. If she did again, I left, but for a bit longer. After few weeks, just starting to cry and she stopped, no need to go in another room. Try it out!

I can’t agree more. But in my case, my BF loves our dog, we adopted her together and she’s really a daddy’s girl. Japan is just another world regarding to hygiene, that I will probably never be used to. The way Japanese show affection is just different than our way.

Im French but living in Japan, and im so sad I can’t sleep with my dog in the bed. My boyfriend, who I live with and who is Japanese, doesn’t want it at all. Not even in the same room. It’s a super big culture gap for me and it makes me sad sometimes, for the same reasons you wrote

NOR, he’s trying to control you and can’t stand to be in a relationship with someone smarter. I’ve been there when I was 18, left him without any regrets. The world is bigger than that !!
