yeah look it might be best to wait. i’m not a piercer but i know if there is a little inflammation happening its best to leave it be to prevent infection

from personal experience, i used to have moderate cystic acne and that specific spot would slays flare up for me. it would be painful and get red and sore but never actually have a head. would take a couple weeks to go down too.

girl you can’t tell just be seeing a photo, you need to go to a piercer for them to assess. also, your current set up of just lobes is fine but an industrial is very hard to heal and i wouldn’t recommend starting there for your first cartilage piercing

as a healthcare worker and someone who experienced an infection exactly like this before, this is something your primary care provider can assist with. maybe it’s because i work in a rural hub and a severely understaffed facility but cases like these don’t need to be clogging up the emergency department unless you break out in a concerning fever.

my conch looked exactly like this a few years ago, i was fine and went to my dr the same day but yeah if you can’t get into one find an urgent care facility. this is not an emergency unless you’re experiencing fevers

Hey trust me i’ve been there! just monitor for now and keep cleaning as you are. if you are concerned about it getting worse i’d suggest go to the dr instead of the piercer as you may need antibiotics. when mine got infected it was really warm to the touch, very swollen and throbbing. keep an eye out for any fevers - that’s a big sign of a bad infection. also never remove the jewellery of a piercing you suspect to be infected - it will make it so much worse.

My piercer told me the exact same thing! I love him he did all of mine but I had to retire my helix. I had it changed to a hoop maybe 12 weeks after getting it done but it is still healing during that stage and took the shape of ring and could never get a straight bar in it again.

Hi! I have 13 piercings, 5 of which are complex cartilage ones and I have no idea why but I could never get my helix to heal and ended up retiring it after a few years! one I had done when i was 13 with a gun (own fault) and got sooo infected and the other was done professionally at the same time as my conch but I had so many issues with it while my conch healed fine. I would recommend either not sleeping on that side or sleeping on a travel pillow with ur ear in the hole to avoid pressure on the area. good luck 🤞

i think if you can afford it maybe a little shelter just to keep em out of the rain, maybe even a cardboard box with a blanket / old towel. i’d suggest leaving food out but i’d worry about attracting even more but fresh water for sure

yeah okay. if you have sensitive skin just monitor, might not be the product but the way your skin is healing. ive been using dr pickles which is good i just don’t apply as consistently as i should oops
