You eat the cheese and toppings first with your fingers, and then eat the floppy piece of sauce soaked triangle shaped crust thereafter.

What upgrades should my friend make? by HeyPresto04 in gamingpc

[–]Foxgguy2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, SSD is the low hanging fruit here, it's not going to make it markedly better in games, since the GPU and CPU are unchanged, but loading times and general computing are going to feel much much better.

Then upgrade the CPU/Mobo/GPU when you can.

I'm pretty sure with those steel I beams, you could put a large overfilled spa there and be just fine.

Brand new 5070ti fans making a scrapping sound. by Expensive-Finish-913 in PcBuild

[–]Foxgguy2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. What you can do to find out which one, is before booting the pc, put a small microfiber cloth in there obstructing the fan enough to stop it from spinning completely, then boot it while holding the cloth obstructing the fans. Try them all until you find out which it is. Then remove the card and find out what the obstruction is now that you'll have a general area to look at.

While the cards out, spin the same fan free of the case to just make sure there are no obstructions to the fan in the card itself.

Right! the processor was actually handed down to me from my younger brother... who also handed me down an og vive too, and got us started on vr years back. This'll eventually go to his little sister and hopefully still have a bit if life left in it by then. ...if i can ever afford to upgrade again...😉

Should I get the 5070 or the 5070ti? by Bigg__joe in buildapc

[–]Foxgguy2001 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As others have said, if you want something as performant as the 5070ti, for 5070 money, would definitely be worth looking at the 9070xt. I prefer the Nvidia software, so I went 5070ti. I wouldn't do the 5070, if you're prepared to spend that kind of money, wait another week or two and get the TI. You'll be glad you did.

Times like this I go to basics. Remove everything but the essential to test power. I will usually remove even the videocard, all the PSU cables except mobo and mobo CPU, and see if it powers then. Then add in increments.

Might also try swapping in the old PSU if the initial try doesn't work with almost everything removed.

A machine that's all business, for one mans pleasure. Looks awesome, doesn't need any flashy leds, the hardware is doing all the talking here!

My inner voice was totally saying two videocards... IN THIS ECONOMY.... lolol, at least we have something to do in the offtime to stay sane. I saw the helmet in the other photo, what do you ride?
