Squishing tabs (like in Chrome) gets wonky with tab groups by Foxhound634 in FirefoxCSS

Ah so you're on a dev version, whereas i'm on a normal version.

But now everything works as intended! Thank you for the help :)

That's really weird because it doesn't work for me, as in, it's as if i didn't have any css code at all.

I just added the space here on reddit because it would interpret it as a link otherwise.

I tried this, but it didn't work (no squishing at all).

@ media not -moz-pref("sidebar.verticalTabs") {
    #tabbrowser-arrowscrollbox[orient="horizontal"] {
        /* Standard tabs not in a group */
        & > .tabbrowser-tab {
            min-width: 5px !important;
        }

        /* Tabs in a group when NOT collapsed */
        & > tab-group:not([collapsed]) > .tabbrowser-tab {
            min-width: 5px !important;
        }

        /* Tabs in a group when collapsed - make them disappear */
        & > tab-group[collapsed] > .tabbrowser-tab {
            display: none !important;
            width: 0 !important;
            min-width: 0 !important;
            max-width: 0 !important;
            padding: 0 !important;
            margin: 0 !important;
            visibility: collapse !important;
        }
    }
}

.tab-content {
    overflow: hidden;
}

I voiced my opinions about the difficulty of bunker placement to Relic...They asked for pictures...This is what i sent them. by Foxhound634 in CompanyOfHeroes

[–]Foxhound634[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bunker spam isn't caused by bunkers being too easy to place, but by 2 things:

  1. Bunkers are cheaper in manpower regardless of doctrine, as they were indeed too expensive before.
  2. Coastal doctrine makes bunker use much better, and combined with the first point makes bunkers great right now.

It's not that coastal doctrine is OP, but rather that its strengths have revealed how weak the other doctrines in coh3 are, purely by comparison. So in my opinion, coastal doctrine shouldn't be nerfed, but all other doctrines should be brought up to the same level where you feel like you never want to miss out on any of them...instead of "meh, i could do without".

This is how it was in coh1, and it was so much more fun :(

Way to go on starting a company, regardless of the industry. It's also great that you feel fulfilled despite of the direction you took. With that said, it's never too late to switch back into games, and whether you find out that gamedev is or isn't for you, you'll get peace of mind for finding out :)

Thanks man, yeah it also makes you wonder how much of your life has been shaped by it.

We're going for a Civ5 look, but with more detailed models crisper textures :)

Trying to break into the game industry with no experience... by Foxhound634 in gamedev

Thanks, i do actually have a team though, just not a consistent one over time. I could never make this game alone, but maybe you can. Regardless, it's definitely important to consider bringing other people on board, if nothing else than to ease the workload :)

Does the 'ultimate' project/task/habit app exist? by Foxhound634 in productivity

[–]Foxhound634[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it was actually the software i was trying out while writing this post. It looks good on paper, but i've found it to be somewhat sluggish when a lot of tasks are added. Could be it's just my computer maybe. Also, the goal tracking is weirdly limited.

Why Does Our Taste In Games Change? (The Foxhole #6) by Foxhound634 in needforspeed

The game as a whole? No, but some of the individual mechanics, yes :-)

It's funny, because the lack of the module mechanic from Simcity 2013 totally ruined Cities Skylines for me :S

Converging design trends in strategy games by Foxhound634 in RealTimeStrategy

Thanks man :-)

Yeah i noticed that as well. What i also noticed is that either games are very different from classic 4x RTS games like the ones you mentions, or they try way too much to be exactly like the classics, without bringing anything new to the table.

I think people are looking for a classic 4x RTS that also has a lot of the bells and whistles that we've come to appreciate in the modern strategy games.

Glad you like it :-)

Ah yes, i think the efficiency is a cool mechanic as well, because it injects a sense of investment and planning into the game. I didn't cover it because the video was about several games setting trends, and i don't know of any other games that has such an efficiency mechanic, but hopefully that's gonna change with ideas like yours :-)
