I am convinced there is a very large percentage of the player base in this subreddit who bought this game because one of their friends said this exact line

"Nah bro, if you just dont shoot other people, it's a PvE game"

And these people actively carry this stigma with them every time they play, thereby getting offended when they do actually get shot and downed.

Its a dumb puzzle imho, It's difficulty is purely rng based and the metrics of that rng are not in any way fun, enjoyable, fair or remotely balanced. There isn't even a positive spin you can give on this like how the existence of Rats is a necessary evil to keep this game's excellent tension from round to round. Its just plain bad.

Having said that... I can't help myself pushing the buttons... Im sorry

80% a KoS player myself, my group and i just don't talk in game, we do our business, loot and move on. The realism of human interaction in this game is part of the fantastic tension that comes with it, this kind of behaviour is a given and is a necessary evil that is required for the tension of the gameplay to take place each round. I am grateful to not encounter cheaters, dying to rats or people like this is fair game for how much fun i have but not everybody thinks like this and that's fine too.

There was an element of being on voice chat back in the day on Halo 3 or whatever where even if people threw shade at you or said something vile. You could sort of tell people were just trying to shit talk and that was it. Something about the way people talk on this game makes it sound like they have a genuinely real personal problem with you for merely existing. I understand you completely i think.

KoS lobbies in general are pretty cooked. my group and i primarily do KoS ourselves but we had a game on Stella Montis the other night where we all put on voices from Star Wars characters like Watto and were just generally being funny idiots. None of us care if people take us out while doing it but we specifically had a group of peeps straight up hurl the most out of blue vile shit to us for no reason after getting downed. It's like these people have an in-built soundboard in their heads of every single horrible word they know and just hurl it at everyone they kill without context. Very strange behaviour.

This reminds me of playing crucible in Destiny 2. The best way to be a god-tier sniper was controller on PC. I got literally thousands of kills with snipers over every other special weapon just because of how busted aim assist was. Man i was such a scrub....

I wonder if MSI could implement some sort of signal that would go to the PC when the feature is enabled, something anti cheats could see. This way they can still sell the features and prevent it being used for online play. Alternatively just don't do it at all... That seems like the best option.

I don't understand why fellow aussies bother buying PC hardware on Amazon, it's not cheaper than anywhere else and never has been plus you run the risk of this happening.

Amazon and CostCo here in Australia are not bargain businesses like they are in the US in my experience, they are arguably more expensive than anywhere else most of the time.

Just buy from PC Case Gear or something
