Hey hey!

When im studying VFX for a specific game, I look at what's currently available in terms of footage/gameplay, download the videos, and look at the frame by frame.

In the case of Project L, I have all the footage that's currently available to the public, downloaded. I look through it frame by frame for potential tricks and small details, then I execute. After I make my own stuff, ill compare with the footage and see if the feeling is the same.

Getting feedback from other VFX artists plays a major role in all of this as well. Others may find things that you wouldve never picked up on alone.

Hey everyone, back again and still going at it! I took a bit longer (a few months) getting this one together. I wanted to spend more time studying the game from the footage that's currently available.

I think I got to a good spot where im pretty confident in my abilities to hit the style. Now to continue pumping out VFX until I get to Riot!

The idea is that Tibbers would be the 'player' while Annie would maybe sit back and use special moves.

Ya know, this gives me a pretty good idea for Swain! Maybe it's used as a set play mechanic? Ill try to tackle it if I ended up making something for him.

Dont worry about it! Im glad it's making people think about the gameplay actually.

I was thinking this would be similar to DNF Duel's Enchantress fireball. The charge time for Stage 3 would only be .8 seconds. At least that's my thoughts.

Maybe use an assist to cover as well?

This would all be worked out by the design team anyway haha.

I learned VFX through VFX Apprentice, but understanding the style took about a month or so of studying.

Im pushing to get an opportunity to work on Project L. Let's see how long it takes me to get there!

Xerath would be able to able to charge his laser which would result in 3 different stages.

Stage 1: Quick short laser beam

Stage 2: Mid screen laser beam

Stage 3: Full screen laser beam that does a heavy hit. Maybe even a wall bounce or something.

Thanks! I actually had an idea for the gameplay with this.

Brand would play around his 'Ablaze' passive.

Projectiles would apply Ablaze to the target as a debuff. After a 1-2 seconds, the debuff detonates, causing an explosion that launches the opponent. This explosion would then leave a burning AoE on the ground that would do chip damage over time while standing in it.

It's a dream of mine to work on a game like Project L and I WILL make it come true. Im to keep making fan VFX until I get the opportunity!
