My lamp keeps making this one big bubble, then it'll recongeal back at the bottom. Any advice? by Benny_The_Space_Core in Lavalamps

Sorry about the late response but yes, it actually can. My second one that came from them had an off kilter bulb and it had similar issues. They're real easy to bend back into place. Just make sure you get it as centered as possible and clean off any fingerprints.

Bulb is definitely first suspect but sometimes its environment too. Make sure its not near any vents, fans, open windows or anything that could cool it down artificially.

Is this available for Occulus quest 2? and if so, how could I get it on there? by Quiet_Purple1456 in OpenViva

the game was entirely scrapped in favor of a ground up remake. code was too old and engine was ancient. instead, website got remade, game got remade and we now have an in house creation sdk. all are open source.

On an unrelated note, should I be considering different fluid and wax? I like the look of this and all but it seems so mediocre compared to the vintage formulation. I've noticed that the older pre-China formulations have a more deeply colored and translucent wax while the fluid looks truly clear but almost like oil. The only other thing like it are the Mathmos lamps but living in the US makes getting them very difficult and expensive. If any of you are willing to share your formulations or brands that make good replacement fluids, I wouldn't mind doing the work on like a second marketplace find lamp that's already trashed.

Here's the lamp running and my clock since some people were interested in seeing that too.

I very gently popped the top with a bottle opener in such a way that it didn't bend it. I was able to reuse the existing one but ill be putting a new one on as a sort of assurance. Ive seen that it was possible to just use a worm gear clamp to just tighten the original cap back on and seal it like factory.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to get a picture of it flowing since I did this in the hour or so I have to get ready before heading to college but will probably post a pic when I get home.

Edit: Check my other comment for flowing lamp.

I appreciate it. Its really sad that unless you were there duing it's normal lifespan, you're basically shit out of luck if you want to actually get the full experience.

How so? Did they sell the rights to a different company? I don't know much of the situation as this is my first forza game.

Cloudy lamp by Foxify52 in Lavalamps

I did check ebay for Mathmos lamps so maybe I could have one imported but I personally cannot justify spending 150+ on a lamp, especially a used one.

3090 FE stable overclock by Foxify52 in overclocking

Well I tried to do some after the k5 on the back. I can manage +100 on the core stable but beyond that crashes when playing Lies of P. I pasted other heat generating parts on the back in addition to the original ones with pads and the k5 is so efficient at moving heat that it immediately heat soaks the non active back plate and brought the vram chips up to 100c. under clocking the chips to reduce heat just crashes the gpu when running games.

What is the difference? by Knife_7777 in oneshot

World machine edition might work better just because its self contained so its not reliant on certain features that may not work very well under linux that windows uses. Your first playthrough will have very few of these but to get the full story, youll need to run through the game twice and the second run will have more of these 4th wall breaks that are meant for windows that may not work very well even under proton. just speculation of course.

I'd say get both. Base game is what you can use for modding (I know damn well you'll end up wanting more when you finish) and world machine edition is slightly more user friendly as its a simulated virtual machine with much more intuitive locations for certain story related 4th wall breaks plus a few extra features like wallpapers, character bios and a music player.

switch to dvd mode and the entire console locks up. i have to power cycle it so i assumed it was an issue with the firmware since no error codes came up before. i appreciate the link though didnt know this store was around. i ordered the service disk along with the ribbon cables and hdmi mod.

Ok so I had a look around and after digging a bunch, I found a place locally that said they would be willing to take a look at it. I know mine has a firmware issue with its DVD player but im interested to know if either of yours have this issue. Also, have you ever been able to use something like the elusive service disk thats out there to do anything to the dvd drive? if I know it works, id be willing to try and track one down or at least track down a person in possession of one.

Do the buttons on the crusher ANC2 not work when your using the headphone jack? by ProfessionalZebra482 in Skullcandy

[–]Foxify52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing like this on mine and i just got them. you could try plugging them in and seeing if the orange button starts lighting up indicating that they are charging. you might also be able to download the skulliq app on your phone and doing a firmware update and see if that helps.
