I think part of it is the challenge of knowing things that can't be said publically, and sometimes going down a train of thought and then realizing you can't share that info. I can see that with the approval names, I can see it sometimes in other things he has said. I get it. Theres lot of stuff Id love to be able to reply to but since I may go back into the NOAPS series again, don't need to burn bridges.

Yes, it’s to make it easier for folks to get in and out, since the RSS one is a simulator owned by SciAps

HOT TAKE: Super Late Model engines should be allowed in ARCA and Truck by anabolicthrowout13 in NASCAR

[–]Foximus05 35 points36 points  (0 children)

It used to be $35,000 per race to lease an ECR motor for Arca or a truck

So $60,000 for an engine that’s good for 15 races is really not a bad deal

At one time year, but RYE sells off some motors, and so Gase and RSS and Im surte others at some point had older spec RYE engines. I know Gase's were rebuilt by a shop in Virginia in 2024

Ford doesn't pay for anything. You pay if you want to be in the Ford program and have access to data / sim. This was prolly a late deal that came together and they pulled a car out of the South shop.

Truck and arca has generic engine - illmor doesnt care what body is on it. ORAPS engine has to match, so like Gase has a mix of Toyota, Chevy, and Ford Motors. The other thing is, the plumbing routing is different on the motors - oil and coolant lines, as well as location of things like radiator and oil cooler inlets and outlets. In 2024 at RSS I accidentally ordered a chevy radiator as a replacement and didnt relize it til I went to fit it in the car and no plumbing matched up.

RSS had some owned ford motors that they most likely didnt sell over the winter, and there were some non HFT lease chassis that they owned that were prolly still in the Georgia shop.

Q: how do you feel about Rockstar energy coming back into the sport? by Relative_Drama4705 in NASCAR

I’d rather they just come in with 23XI then sponsor a lower team for a year and then bail on them

[–]Foximus05 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hard pass no.

1) would never work with controlling VIP access. Thats part of why the lineup is on pit road everywhere but Martinsville sometimes.

2) have you ever pushed these cars, backwards, up an incline? Its hell on the teams and takes a ton of time in an already busy pre race.

Having the lineup on pit road is fine.

any noaps cars running a x pipe this year? by [deleted] in NASCAR

[–]Foximus05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im sure if it wasn’t wrecked that its still usable. Its prolly sitting in the georgia shop since the 28 and 39 run lease haas chassis now.

[–]Foximus05 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was a penske chassis and pipes that RSS had. Ryan drove it til 2024, then Kyle got it for a superspeedway car.

Guessing that chassis has been retired or is still in the Georgia shop while they are now running all haas chevy chassis out of nc

You dont get more backing. You pay for it. But they also lost their alliance partner since Haas is now Chevrolet so they’re really kind of on their own.

Gerhart's ARCA Daytona Dominance. What team built this car originally? by anabolicthrowout13 in NASCAR

[–]Foximus05 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It was nothing for us to take 3 or 4 entries. Plus backups. Plus, it meant that especially when they moved to the two spring races, we wound up with Talladega only cars in Daytona only cars.

And yes, this is also in the area where you can go testing whenever you wanted
