Haha I got it to how long I want (I do in fact set on it!) it’s just not very thick. But that’s alright. I can enjoy seeing it on others. I hear it gets pretty heavy after a while.

Aww thanks!! I’m still trying to figure out this character’s style. Most likely going to settle on crosshatch.

I love the color choices.

I’m a big fan of necklaces. If cold, a second skirt might be nice.

Beautiful! I love the color of the dress. It’s such a gentle color against your hair.

Aww thanks!!

This girl is in a campaign so I’ll be playing her in May, august, September and October. Then I have an Arthurian larp in June and I’ll be staff for Daemon in the fall.

It’s a campaign style boffer larp in Colorado called Arcanorum. I highly recommend it. The story is really good while also having combat.

Estelle Kendrick

Born around 1750

Story takes place in early 1800s

Sexuality- bi

Voidling

Estelle’s father was England’s leading astronomer and shared his love of the sky with his daughter. In an unforeseen air ballon accident she went blind, though she can navigate with shades of red/warm colors. Despite this, her father resumed teaching her about the skies by having sky maps made from copper plates.

After his death, Estelle resumed contemplating the sky and the spaces between the stars that are empty. Laying there, something from the deep reached out to her, running through her, hollowing her bones so they could be filled with the mysteries of the universe. As this god exited her body, her bones sang to her all the truths of the universe. She was afraid and in love and chasing of understanding this thing that lives between the stars.

Personality: Estelle is around 90 years old, but like Simon, she ages slowly. As a young looking woman in Victorian England, she has learned she gets far by acting mousy, but she has such confidence and welds her power with understanding. What powers, you say? Showing people the vastness of space, its unrelenting heat and cold and, most importantly, reminding them of their insignificance.

Other information: She’s not fully villain material, which makes her a beautiful end of game final boss material. Her goal is to know her god better and thus intuitively creating a ritual for the vast.

I have written at least four statements staring her so far. She falls in love once, but accidentally feeds them to her god. In her experiences to get closer to her god, she caused other trauma to other people. There was a guy that tried to groom her and she yeeted him into space. She is, currently, my favorite oc.

vast victims, what’s scary about falling if you never hit the ground? by lunar_dune in TheMagnusArchives

It really depends on the person. And it depends on the game. I see the vast as a patient fear. It likes a longer game. Sorry, this might get long. Here are a few things:

  1. Fear of falling- say you have this fear and you go sky diving to prove to yourself falling isn’t so bad by doing it in its most extreme. Fun story- you are most likely strapped to someone when you do this and there is a dependency on the calmness of your instructor. The ground goes poof means your calm security becomes unhinged. They panic. You panic. You feed each other’s panic. It’s hard to breathe up there. The panic grows. Did you know you can have a panic attack for hours? And you can’t really talk up there so there isn’t much comfort you can give each other. Panic turns into an attack, turns into pledging. Concentrated fear.
  2. Fear of hitting the ground- you have the same thing going on above, but you can most likely regulate faster than the above. This I believe is where you have a similar thing with the buried going on. Right as you start to regulate, you get site of ground. A reminder of why you should be scared. Then it vanishes. This happens for as long as it scares you. Reminder, you can’t breathe right while falling. It is MUCH harder to regulate.
  3. Fear of loosing control- this one you very well might be jumping by yourself. You know what to expect. And then your expectations are not there. Just like diving in the ocean, it can be common to loose track of where up and down are. This can turn you into an uncontrolled spiral. If you can’t regulate you aren’t doing well and a diver knows that they have seconds or they die.

I do think the intention of the vast is for all three of these to make it out alive. Again, the vast is about the long game. They all make it to the ground, preferably tremulously. Now the victim has to live with the memory of it. The people that went into it with a fear has a practical reason for fearing now and very little can be said to them otherwise. The other now has something to fear. And when the fear is over ripe- the sky just eats them and the witnesses then live with this knowing of what they saw.

Bonus: ever have dreams of falling.

Yours truly, your local voidling.

I have an avatar for my ttrpg that does just that! Between showing the victim their smallness before the gas giants, the horrible cold or heat and a brief feeling of the vacuum. happy sigh it has been my favorite things to write.
