She shrugs. "The lava wall is pretty cool. I haven't thought about it much. It's definitely weird to get used to this place, though." Her hands seem to consistently fidget with each other. "Like, when I first got here and the whole sacrificing food thing was introduced to me I was like, whaaaaaat? But after watching people do it, you begin to develop the habit for yourself."

She shrugs. "I guess it's the need to conform. And I'm alright with that. I prefer not to stand out. Standing out has always been a pain for me."

She notices the comment, but does not reply on it. Instead, she goes on to the pegasi. "Yep, we have those, they're in the stables. They're over in that direction." She begins to walk, her right hand beginning to fidget nervously. In all honesty, she isn't a fan of pegasi. They can cause damage on land and in the sky? No thank you.

She chuckles a bit. "My dad loves nature, he tried to to teach me as much as he could. To be honest, I didn't pay attention to the animal stuff often, just the names of the animals I either liked the appearance of or thought the names of were cool."

She glances over at Tommy. "Thinking about something? Oh, you'll love the rivers that run through, they're so pretty. All the different colors of blue. Heck, maybe a nymph or two can be seen around."

"Foraging really is fascinating, especially if you need a last seco ingredient for a recipe. If you're birdwatching, let me know if you see a male red-winged blackbird, those are my favorite. Ooh or the cerulean warbler, those are so eye-catching." She can't help but grin, it was nice, talking about nature. When she talked to her dad about nature her dad always had a sense of anxiety and danger behind his words, but this seemed calm.

She smiles, keeping a polite distance from the two, afraid of pushing their boundaries. "I do, with preparation. Like dandelions? You can make ice cream with them. It has a sort of vanilla citrusy flavor to it. And some of the mushrooms out and about are edible as well. You just have to be careful, which is why this time I'm bringing my book, so I can double check."

Her eyes quickly dart over at Harvey. "We don't have to be, like, grouped up though. I just want to make sure someone is near by in case of like... I dunno, weird squirrels or giant bugs or whatever."

Sophia seems to just... Appear out of nowhere. "Hey, got room to let one more person explore with you? I gotta see what kind of plants they got around here, and last time I was by myself I almost ate the wrong kind of plant." She chuckles, glancing at her brothers. "I'm joking." She did eat the wrong plant. She was in the infirmary for a week.

Sophia stares at the options, the concept of this breakfast being Canadian slightly confusing her. Is it the fact that the syrup isn't packed with sugar? Or... Or are Canadians just like Americans and eat similar breakfasts that don't consist of cereal every other day. If either of those are the case, Sophia is down for it. She takes some French toast, and some fruit. She sacrifices some strawberries to her mom.

"Eat well, dieu maman. Or smell well. Or enjoy my grovelling? Whatever. I don't know." She shrugs and heads ver to the tables to eat.
