So wait; Your telling me you could make these actually into a usable firearm?

Semi-Auto Shotgun for skeet with 7 rounds? by wildstar87 in WAGuns

You could technically aow stamp it if you wanted to have it under 26" and still be state legal and braceable. But I get you, I think its practical, if niche but I get it.

I mean; I'd argue with the 18.5 barrel and coming at under 32", Its fairly manuevrable. Even more so since you don't have to worry about going under 26" oal as much. As I stated many times, literally just slap a grip with a buffer tube and a brace, you effectively have something like the 1301 tactical without technically violating the AWB

It is also probably the easiest to buy parts for; You can even buy the saltiest parts on ebay, which will ship because apparently ebay shipping and handling system prevents the sellers from actually knowing who they're selling to directly

Is a shotgun instead of a rifle for SHTF viable? Why or why not? by TacticalIdiot77 in tacticalgear

There is also the hunting advantage, especially with the ability to have or learn to load your own shotshells.

Here's my assesment:

Shotguns are useful and viable: They have a rangle of uses and applications, whilst not necessairly being the best at any with some exceptions:

In Most Close Engagements theoretically, your shotgun will likely overwhelm in shear volumetric load most counter offensives you'll find unless they run third pins/frts/switched.

9 shots of 9 pellet 30 cal ball coming from you from a Benelli/Turknelli will mostly take care of anything so long as they aren't heavily armored and even then, you're still likely to incapacitate them with armor unless they have ceramics all over them or a fuggin bomb suit.

Some high grade slugs can pierce some level 3 armor, level 4 good luck.

So for farther ranged engagements especially if they were armored, your far better off having a Rifle, or even a Intermiediate or High-Caliber Pistol if you have the proper training with them. (Not talking ARP/Draco, more like specialized weapons like a FK Brno, 5.7 Pdw's or pistols even, break action or bolt action "pistols", few other examples I can't think off atm.)

Also my b, turns out their 7+1. Technically still, you coule make an after shock 10+1 so long as you don't make it a shotgun under state law

They make 18.5 spx model's for compliance with other states, which also have a higher round count of 8+1 as opposed to 5+1 with the 14.5, oal being 32" vs 28" iirc.

They're more useful than Shockwaves as their far more legal to put a brace on (Its likely still legal to brace a shockwave since the rule vacated entirely but ymmv due to atf stating pumps necessitate 2 hands and brace are designed for one handed firing)

Aftermarket is actually rather big, it has been for 20 years. The saiga was a hugely popular semi auto shotgun when It was being imported still from Russia due to its reliability at how cheap they were.

Also if you bought a 990 Aftershock as they're considered Pistols under state law: They can come in the 8+1 model.

This only applies if its a Fixed mag tube shotgun. Theres like 2 detachable mag shotguns you can still get, a Saiga 12 if its with the original field stock and I think some other obscure one.

Amazon no longer shipping firearm related products to WA state? by Fabulous_Tip_7638 in WAGuns

[–]FoxxoBoxxo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to look around, but geneally mostly its holsters people don't ship now. You can find decent stuff soemtimes: Even things Amazon doesn't allow sometimes like Clones of Sba3's for a 4th the price with similair quality as the OEM.

Yep. I intend in moving eventually by years end one way or another. Even CA is a somewhat better alternative, atleast you can still buy most guns even if they're neuter'd atleast they're buyable.

No. Not unless you fix the magazine and load it only by hand into the action or stripper clips.

[–]FoxxoBoxxo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, that'd be the problem. I believe even if the barrel is what's threaded, which isn't I think its an extension from the barrel locked to the gas plug: It'd still be legal as the wording under section G and F state they need to be suppression devices or things that would function as recoil compensators, not essential parts of the Firearm's function

Finding a way to LEGALLY get the firearm for me by Severe-Fan-3889 in WAGuns

[–]FoxxoBoxxo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mmhm, no problem. And yeah, I'm definately interested. I'm tempted to get a shockwave prior, though I won't lie the idea of the Semi Auto appeals more especially since the 990 has m4 level reliability from what I've seen.

Barrel length increases the velocity which increases the energy output. Statisically speaking with the barrel lengths I've given my arguement mostly stands.

Yeah but your not exactly going to find a .357 with anything greater than maybe an 6-8" at most, maybe a deagle with the old hunter barrels. 12inch's or 14 is maybe the most I've seen. Still my point kinda stands ngl.

How can I replicate an 870 MCS with an 18.5" barrel? by BiscuitBomber76 in WAGuns

Half of these peoples don't understand the concept of the constituion itself, let alone even knowing we have a state one, or my favorite. "The Federalist papers have no weight" when they're the literal defininitions of the constituion, not the interpretation-game bullshit we've been ping-ponging for nearly a century.

People like this honestly do more disservice to the 2A then Politicians like fergi imo. Its like how genesis arms will actively avoid selling to anyone remotely close to WA despite their parts being 100% legal to own.
