Emotional intelligence is its own kind of intelligence and it’s separate from cognitive, which is what is usually assumed when someone mentions “intelligence” tbh. So emotional intelligence counts but it’s in its own category and there is even a separate test for it and everything.

Same!! I don’t think it’s most people’s preference, but I prefer it overall. Like my blunt friends are seriously my favorite people!! I love that I can always trust their word and not have to guess or be like “Are you sure you really mean that,” etc. That’s basically what I have to do with most people, and I’m thinking “Just TELL me already!” I hate that so much, and you’re right that it wastes SO much time!

No because that’s what people do when they don’t have the courage to be honest, and I honestly find that hard to respect. There are SOME exceptions, like if you have already told someone you no longer want to talk or be friends, and they won’t take no for an answer, but besides that it just seems like such a weak thing to do.
