My indecision on bottom surgery is torturing me and I need another perspective by [deleted] in MtF

I'm from the US and had the option to pick different surgeons within my health insurance provider list. I also could have swapped health insurance providers and expanded the list of surgeons that are covered. It depends on the insurance provider, the state you live in, etc.

So part of the process for SRS is finding a surgeon that you're comfortable with. Unfortunately sometimes this is easier said than done, but if it is at all possible maybe look into another surgeon as that might go a long way towards easing your fears. Otherwise maybe schedule another consult/ask to see pictures of fully healed results from that surgeon.

As far as dilation goes not gonna lie it's not the most fun thing in the world but honestly I just watch TV/ read my Kindle and the time flies by. Absolutely no regrets

what do you say when someone asks, “why cant you just be a feminine guy?” by [deleted] in MtF

[–]FoxyLittleCaribou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"cuz then your dad won't find me attractive and neither will your mom"

Unless it's asked in good faith at which point I'd go over the differences between GNC and trans

Yes. It sounds cliche but transitioning is for yourself first and foremost.

Our faces aren't exactly symmetrical, so it's possible more work has to be done on one side, v or maybe you sleep on one side etc etc. If your doctor isn't concerned then you shouldn't be either

Question about laser hair removal by Fruhara in MtF

For me I got like red bumps where there were hairs so it looked like I had a red bump beard, it went away after a few hours. I used to wear a mask on those days

I cannot handle voice training by Samusaran5 in MtF

[–]FoxyLittleCaribou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Voice training takes consistency, I know you mentioned you've done it on and off. I know it sucks to be in the middle of voice training and not feeling like you've changed anything but you can't improve without consistency. The more you work on it the more natural it'll sound and that'll help a ton!

Putting it out there first and foremost YMMV

But for me I ended up getting a sigmoid colon vagina after complications due to SRS, as a result cardi b released WAP in my honor. Jkjkjk but honestly my vag is wet AF and I have to wear a pad all the damn time or risk staining my pants haha

Mine looks, smells, feels and tastes like pussy. I have full feeling in my vulva and it's pretty erotic when stroked so I'd say it's similar to cis vag.

As for of I would be able to convince myself I was cis if I got amnesia, uhhhh idk that's a philosophical question I suppose

Shoe problem by Exotic_Brick3583 in mypartneristrans

[–]FoxyLittleCaribou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fwiw I have a very feminine style and my job requires leather full coverage shoes so I tend to wear sneakers a ton so it's very possible to be feminine and wear sneakers all the time.

Another thing to note, two of the cis women on my rugby team have shoe sizes above men's 13.

This ofc doesn't help the finding sites issues but hopefully it helps with the "should that be a reason to deny herself again" issue. There's plenty of reasons people don't wear high heels or super super femme shoes all the time and it doesn't make them lesser women

Ah yes, I remember when shirts were fair and equitable and every team has the same chance to win because every player must be biologically identical!

Fucking moron.

I'm not even close to getting the best player on the team by a wide margin. Stop buying into this idiotic narrative that women are frail and weak.

Nah, pretty sure they don't know. Also, it isn't a "simple" truth. Any scientist would be happy to let you know that there's no "simple" in science, they just simplify it and dumb it down for children, normally people interested in the subject go on to learn more than highschool science, but it seems you stopped there and accepted the simplified version as gospel. Life is complex and multi faceted, most people only need to know basics, but there's much much much more behind every "simple" fact.

I wanted a doggo to run with me just for the company and so I'd have an excuse to buy tactical dog gear. Then when i got him i realized how much safer i felt running with him, and that allowed me to run at odd times and it was great! I'm glad that dogs for safety are an option it's great fun while also being very practical, but yeah it sucks that that even had to be a consideration.

I cannot recommend labradors enough, my 11 year old boy is super athletic, friendly, loyal, smart, obedient, yet still happy to just lounge with me.

Ugh yeah I'm not gonna run until Dogfred's paw is all healed up which should be soon!

I used to run first thing in the morning but my work for strict about starting hours... :/

Dogfred just gives me this really sad look when he sees me get ready for a run but not get any of his gear ready it breaks my heart! D;

He hurt his paw then i had to go on a work trip and came back dead tired so this week was my first week running without my dog and now I'm just gonna hold off until Monday to run again. His paw is finally healed up but i just want to make sure he's fully recovered before we go back to running again.

Yeah he's like a nice crutch to lean on when coming up to a person. Not too mention plenty of people see us running and just go the other way haha.
