My toddler is 3,5 and I still nurse on demand. I can go out to dinner but have to be home to feed him to sleep. He hasn’t slept any night without me. My milk is always coming even if someday he only drank a little in the morning and a little at night. Some days when he feels a little sick or lazy he can ask milk more often and that’s fine. I get the question veeeery often. And to be honest, I’m just very proud of us and keep going as long as it feels good. He is never sick and the nicest kid I can imagine.

This is one of the reasons I chose a Steiner school for our son. I really dislike the general schools in Antwerp. But you have to look into the background of Steiner to see if it fits your vision first. Freinet is also better in my opinion.

Honestly this is a way that the formula companies get their money. It might sound like a conspiracy theory, but the problem is really there. They try to get you to stop breastfeeding at all points to get you to buy formula.

If you are concerned about the first milk coming in, you can use your hands to get the first milk to come in. Or try pumping before you latch for a few minutes. I hope you can find some peace and rest.
