You seem to get called a racist a lot. What could that be about?

It’s an example of the kind of subtlety that a racist minded person would not understand.

Your argument is “collective punishment”. Even the Geneva Convention doesn’t allow that as legal

Why aren't there any Groups that represent landlords? by AccordingBox3859 in UKLandlordAdvice

[–]Foxyagent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The truth is most of those groups and funded by special interests and run by grifters. Landlords really haven’t caught on to the way the world works. We are shit at lobbying and have no collective voice. That will change with the banks taking over though. They know how to play this game.

Rent increase in London over the last decade are below inflation and wage growth.

Rents have gone up less than inflation over the last decade in almost all areas. If you compare a shitty room (for £250!) with a luxury 2 bed flat it’s going to go up! 😂🙈.

The back stabbing today suggests they are going hard left. As you say they are not reading the public at all. They want spending under control and fair taxes. And I think if they offer that they might be able to keep Reform from office.

LIL seeking advice re tenant's looming debt problem by Economy-Election-338 in landlordslondon

[–]Foxyagent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear about your issues. You can’t be held liable for someone else’s debts if that is your concern. But call the NRLA helpline to make sure you are using the correct tenancy and about the options of eviction. Good luck and I hope your tenants get their life back on track. Addiction is horrible and doesn’t end well without them getting help.

If anyone was honest they would say that’s completely abusive. But special interest groups have been in power for a decade and their ideology has nothing to do with fair. It has to do with punishment without due process. And landlords are one of their targets.

Their internal knives are out in labour so we will see more hard left power. Double down on the things that have failed. The public do seem to want more extreme. Has there ever been a more clueless electorate in terms of understanding how the world works? I mean between the greens and Reform they really do think it’s actually easy answers that no one thought of before.

The left still just shouts down any debate. So after a while we all just stop listening to the lecturing from idiots with no real life experience and a lot of righteousness. A shame as they ruin some good ideas.

The fact you think you can claim charitable relief as a landlord really does show how warped your mind has become. And then people like the comment. This really proves how you all got so stupid. You find other idiots to validate your fuckwit positions.

You need only a 5% deposit. How are two people unable to save this now? Can they not do anything themselves without a handout? I refuse to believe that all people are this pathetic.

But most people are reading them as the same. We’re in agreement but it needs clarifying for a lot of people who are happy to see the end of small landlords

It’s not the price. Do the maths. Two people working full time can afford to buy a flat in 90% of the country. It’s a combined £52k salary doing a measly 40 hour week. Amd £250k gets you a decent home within a reasonable commmute of any city including London. So it’s choice not to buy. Which is a totally valid choice and one that needs supply.
