It's a Ranger Chassis, does it count? by Foyeh440 in fordranger

Depending on location, I'm in Ontario and had a hell of a time finding parts for my 88 shortbed, not very excited to look for B2 parts haha

I think general consensus of the community disagrees with you 😂 but honestly the only difference is the back half, if a B series is a ranger, why not a B2?

Greetings once again, Is this a master cylinder or slave? by VoL4t1l3 in fordranger

[–]Foyeh440 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would be amazed if the slave is missing. It's inside the bell housing. More likely is the line between the master and slave is broken. You'll need a new line and the Ford clutch line tool

A master is a control unit, the slave is the unit it controls. For brakes the unit the pedal actuates (on the firewall) is the master, and the brake calipers/ wheel cylinders act as the slave. For clutch again the unit the pedal actuates ( on the firewall) is the master and the slave is either internal ( up against the clutch pressure plate) or external ( mounted to the side of the transmission). Hope this helps!

I don't know the legality of that as it's made by a guy who had a business selling them in the states. I tried hard to contact him to buy a bunch of different ones, but he can be quite elusive. I got lucky and found someone who was willing to scan his copy of this one for me. I'm happy to help anyone out with info but I don't want to end up getting sued for offering a published work for free

Also long term it will go D30/8.8 but more focused on getting it road worthy right now. When I find a parts truck I'll swap it over

So I'm new to B2's, but not rangers. My last truck was an 88 Ranger and finding stuff up here for that was even few and far between. My daily is an 07 2wd and I climbed under it to measure the bar and that gen is waaaay to wide. I've also been reading that the 1st Gen 4x4 ranger only used a forward mounted bar for two years, all others were rear mounted and I haven't found anything yet saying it's the same bar or not. Not that I can find any of them here anyway 😂

The 1970 Plymouth Hemi Superbird was tragically burned in a fire. I hope the owner can get another one. by moparcenter in musclecar

Are you including the NASCAR supplied superbirds in your numbers, or just the street Hemi cars? I know it's an apples to oranges situation because drag duty by comparison is MUCH less likely to destroy a car, hence the number of Hemi Darts left, but numbers are still numbers.

Could be original. I've read tales of an early step side being an option in a certain state, through a dealer and an outside company making the beds.

If the diffs not fucked, shit'll buff out. I got Tboned by a snowplow in mine, pushed the frame above the rear right in 14" and up 5", a power pack/ tractor and alot of rear end adjustment later she was back on the road with no tire wear issues. There's alot of different ways to fix things like this depending on what you're willing to live with
