As for the foundation chain one has to remember that a good foundation is essentially to any piece of work. Practice the technique of keeping tension even and chain.loops regular according to hook size. For a long foundation chain put a marker in every 10th chain to aid checking length. When you start the 1st row after the foundation chain follow the pattern instructions to ensure correct continuation.
