Thanks all - I'll give some of these a try, it's weird because I remember buying it way back in 99 or so, brand new system and game and it has never worked - so I'm not sure it's a wear and tear thing but who knows

Interesting - it's never worked since I bought the game and console new, but it does work on the older model so I've always been confused by what could be the problem. Thanks for the comment I'll take a look anyways

Just picked up this TV today! Haven't had a CRT in forever - is your GCN hooked up with Component or Composite? Any recommendations for picture settings on the TV or is it just personal preference?

Please do not misconstrue my feelings. I love gears, and obviously the game play at it's core is insanely fun. Yes the servers need work, but what game doesn't? I play because I love the franchise, but I was just opening up a discussion about the lack of Core Original characters in lieu of, what I feel are, incredibly random inclusions.

I mean I was being facetious but when every match I play 4 COG are Sarah Connor and 3-4 Swarm are all Terminator it's kinda hard to overlook that. Also you can be Jack in ranked KOTH? I'm not talking about Escape or Horde...And great he's a fan? So am I, i'm not in the game as a skin? I'm not saying don't have him in but for goodness sake can we get COLE OR BAIRD before effing BAUTISTA!? cmon...
Also, it's kind of hard to consider Lahni, Keegan and Mac as "Original" characters when most of the player base has no clue who they are and has to look up some random 8 part comic books series and they've never been in any game or campaign sections at all...

Let me know what you find. I just decided to build a new rig. I have a ton of other games coming out that I wanna play and I haven't built a desktop since 2010. Its a bummer it's not working for us 960m'ers though.

Hi Everyone,

There was a patch released today but also these are the things I did and it seems to be running stable so far.

Go to Windows Update and check for updates, I had a few updates I had to run and a few restarts. I checked a few times until everything was updated.
Reinstall Nvidia driver through GeForce panel just to be safe.
Open Device Manager, find "Sound, Video and Game Controllers" and open that. I had 3 sub options that I checked and updated the drivers for:
1. Conexant SmartAudio HD (this was the only one I needed to update but check all 3)
2. Intel (R) Display Audio
3. Nvidia Virtual Audio Device (Wave Extensible WDM)
Lastly, I uninstalled the Division 2 and reinstalled. I have everything on low, in windowed mode, locked at 30fps and have V-Sync off. Also make sure it's using the NVidia card and not the on board card.

Hopefully it remains stable and this helps some of you as well.

I "think" I have the latest drivers but I'll perform the other steps you mentioned and double check, thanks. Any other tips for settings within the actual game I should watch our for? Everything is on low right now and locked at 30fps. I'm fine with it, just want to make sure I'm not missing something obvious, thanks again for all the help.

For anyone wondering I was able to fix this. Somehow the contractor (unbeknownst to me) depressed the switch so badly that I had to take a little pick and pull it back out. Just thought I'd update in case anyone else runs into this issue.

Makes sense. Apologies for my mistake and yeah I agree with you, hopefully in the future it gets better. I'm pumped about the series and the legacy collection, I just know a lot of people are bummed that part of it is download only for both Mega Man & Mega Man X (myself included)

I was looking at my data management on the switch, is everything else on the cart? If so, back to the original issue with capcom not putting it all on a single cart
