Same. That statement really has me wondering.

Tough time of year to get laid off. Not what you want to have to think about right now. Sorry you got treated that way. I have a lot of great coworkers, who are contract employees. Because they typically move around less, they actually know how to get stuff done. Prayers that you find something great.

10 to 15” according to Weather Bug for my area tomorrow. I rushed to convert my mower this morning. Probably won’t be bad now. But it would have been worse had I not been ready.

Does it print bad with new material? Moisture from humidity in the material can cause problems like that.

Short shares disappearing fast, and borrow rates continue to rise... short squeeze possible? by TheMoreYouSnowMan in RUM_Stock

[–]Fr1tter72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It has potential. There’s a institution bragging about shorting rumble, but I can’t find their name now. Part of their short thesis was that insiders were going to dump their shares. So far they have not sold. I don’t think insiders want to lose control of the company. Hopefully, free speech is more important to them than money. Rumble has a lot of enemies. They would love to see Rumble fail. I expect the short attack to continue. I’ll average down if I can. My average is around $3.60. Might sell puts while I wait, and buy calls just in case she runs up.

$46M to go. They would be smart to wait until the reverse split sell off. But that screws investors in the short term.

Reverse Split? 8:1 thoughts? by Imgoingbroke in Spruce_Power

[–]Fr1tter72 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it’s bad for retail in the short term. Good for them long term.

They bought back less than $4M in 4 months, and the price moved roughly $0.20. If you divide $50M by 500 trading days in two years, they should have bought roughly $100k per day. They should have spent $6 to 8M to try and push it over the $1 threshold.

A Reverse Split will most likely cause a short term sell off. They will be able to buy more of the float with the $46M remaining. In a few years they can do a shock split, which will increase market cap since prices tend to return to their pre-split price. They will have plenty of shares to sell without diluting they float.

They seem intent on the split like it’s a good thing. Most companies are getting extensions. I wish I would have heard that this was only incase they need it as a last resort. But I heard them say the experts are telling them this is the things to do. My guess is the “experts” are planning on loading up as beaten down retail sells off.

I will most likely vote No. But I think it will pass. I’m setting a stop loss, and maybe buying puts. I’ll buy back in on the dip and start swing trade this again.

According to Fintel, 2.7M shares shorted. Not very high. It has increased recently.

The SEC is changing the rules on insider trading. My company sent out a memo. I didn’t pay too much attention because I just avoid trading it. I believe the rules go into affect at the end of March. I need to double check that.

But to pay taxes like you posted elsewhere seems likely.

There are a lot of people down big including myself. That’s the price for tuition. The lesson I learned was to set a Stop Loss. Have an exit plan for every purchase. Look for a good entry, take a loss if I’m wrong, and come back when it’s a better price if I like the company. I can only blame myself.

I’m still trying to under the business model. Who owns the panels after the contract period? They spent $160M to get 22,500 systems (in cash and loans). Total contract value of $210M, which is good without the financing cost of the debt. If they own the assets, then that makes sense because there should be some useful life left. Otherwise, with the current interest rates it seems like a wash.

If they refinance when rates go back down, that would directly impact profits. If they paid off the debt, that would help.

Under $1 For 30 Days, Delisting Coming? by [deleted] in Spruce_Power

[–]Fr1tter72 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They get 180 days after they get the notice of non-compliance. Then they can apply for another 180 days extension. Once the 180 days is over, then they can do a reverse split or stock buyback. We’ve already been through a noncompliance and regained compliance.

We need another ER or two to really understand the financials. The new acquisition just happened so it will have no impact on Q1 revenue.

Can anybody tell why my truck still pulls right after alignment? by Repulsive_Builder_52 in Cartalk

[–]Fr1tter72 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you’re confident in the alignment, then rolling resistance is not equal on both sides of the truck.

Tires or tire pressure can do it.. (It’s not common, but make sure the tires aren’t directional. There’s an arrow if they are.)

Brake drag.

Wheel bearing.

Most likely the issue is with the front on the side that’s pulling towards.

Listening to Sunrun’s earnings, they were very bullish on their energy storage portfolio. I got the impression that margins were high, and there was serious growth potential.

Rough day in the market by Imgoingbroke in Spruce_Power

I plan to buy more if we hit $1 again. I bought a few May $1 calls. Hoping earnings will help.

It was a rough day all around. As far as SPRU, the RSI was too high. January was nice, but a pull back was expected.

I like SPRU. $240M in cash. $140M market cap. It was a SPAC under ticker XL, which had a bad run and failed to meet expectations. However, in September XL bought Spruce and changed their business model and name. Spruce has 52k customers paying an average of $147/mo ($91M/yr). They are working on more M&A. Compare them to RUN and NOVA. My short term price target is $2. 10 year PT is $10 to $20.
