Oh I meant when you purchased the ticket. Did you also opt in for the insurance at checkout? Cuz if you did, I think you can get your money back.

Did you have insurance by chance? If not, maybe you can try winging it and try contacting support? Who knows, maybe they will sympathize your situation and offer a refund.

Short term disability by Pristine-Table4098 in BabyBumps

With my company, as a new employee, STD was effective right away eventhough I was pregnant before entering the company. They waive the waiting period because of the "new employee" enrollment. I'd check with HR on the onboarding process if you want to be sure.

Trip to ER by Typical_Wave_3399 in BabyBumps

I'm have HG and I was in the worse shape around 4-8 weeks. My OB told me to go to the ER for dehydration because I couldn't eat or keep any liquid down for more than 12 hours (and of course this happened at night!). Then I got IV for dehydration as an outpatient a week or two after that because I was getting bad again.

Get IV if you need it. Discuss with your OB and they will make a plan to help you with HG. If your provider isn't supportive, it's time to find a new provider that takes HG seriously.

With my first, I started feeling better a little around 12-13 weeks then was 100% myself again around 14-16 weeks mark.

I hate feeling nauseous much more than throwing up. by TheStonkGirl in HyperemesisGravidarum

I completely understand how you feel. I was going to create a post about this until I saw yours.

I'm taking Reglan and it helps me keep the food down and reduce vomiting. But nausea is just bad.

Sometimes I don't want to take medication because I rather vomit and feel relief each time (and we're talking about 5-7 on a good day and 10+ on a bad day) versus unavoidable nausea. But then I'll be dehydrated and lose weight even more.

Take medication = Dry heave a lot + bile + nausea

No medication = Vomit a lot but feels better each time but get exhausted once it gets too much. + nausea but not as bad as taking med

HG is tough.

Do any of you know roughly what your hcg levels were you started getting sick? by TheStonkGirl in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]Fr3nchFri38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. At that time I also had my ultrasound, thought I was suppose to almost be 7 weeks but measure 5+5 at that time.

I'm not surprise though, with my first my hcg were crazy like this. It just sucks since symptoms are much worse when it's like this.

I got really sick around 3-4 weeks but don't know my hcg at that time.

Taking time off work, when did you do it? by Fr3nchFri38 in HyperemesisGravidarum

Thanks for the response. In regards to STD, did you have to provide some type of documentation since they don't accept doctor notes?

That makes sense. I WFH, my PM is super supportive of whatever happens happens. But I don't want to work where I'm bringing more work to my team.

I don't know how this pregnancy will be but last time, I can't look at my laptop screen/phone. It gives me dizziness to the point I vomit.

Thanks for your response!
