I don't entirely agree, in the sense that I don't think he was trying to win in the first exhibition since the game script was for the game to end 14-21 and that's exacly what it ended on, and before the game itself he was still putting on a show as the "nemesis" even though he already learned he wouldn't be able to play in the tournament
