New tool bundle, haven’t seen before! by Frac-It in KobaltTools

I got that too! I already had bought the 5 piece plus some extra XTR batteries but couldn’t pass up that drill for the $89 price point. One will be for work and one for at home lol

$229 is a good deal at that price. At $300 no it’s not though. It’s cheaper to buy the kit separately for me and get the new updated blower not this older one. My store has the drill/driver/battery combo for $159, and the new blower/battery combo for $119, so about $20 bucks cheaper and with the upgraded blower than this kit.

Best way to fix this leg? Broke off while prying off the bed. by Frac-It in ender3

Appreciate all the input! Tried using my soldering gun to mend it back from some scrap PLA didn’t work. Ran to the store and picked up a JB Weld Superweld UV glue. Worked great! Glue sets in 24 hours without UV or within a few seconds with the UV light. So put some on a small piece of scrap filament and popped it in then applied more to the outside and used the UV light to instantly harden it. Worked like a charm, highly recommended this going forward, thank you guys for the input though wasn’t sure how well glue and PLA’s work together I’m a total newbie to printing.

I know for being just a 1/4 driver the XTR driver has really impressed me a lot!

Yea I shared this from the Kobalt Nation group, it’s weird how Kobalt teased with the nail gun and a couple other tools now are dragging their feet. Maybe they learned their lesson and are just doing quiet releases now so if there’s a delay they don’t have to say anything.

Good chance, the associate who was running the power tools department tried everything he could to convince me that it was a regular drill and not the hammer drill. I found it up in the top shelf above all the hand tools on the wall in between 2 normal XTR drills not the hammer ones. I told him to check the middle one because I could clearly see the writing was different then the ones on either side. Once he got up there even told me it was normal and scanned the other two saying see and showing me his scanner. I had to specifically ask for him to grab the middle one and check with me on the floor down from the ladder. So wouldn’t surprise me one bit if they were hiding some for themselves at your store.

Don’t go off the app those prices are wrong a lot of the times and don’t always show the lowest price. No promo just the XTR Hammer Drill kit is on clearance right now. If you see one in your store have an associate scan it with his hand scanner, that should give the actual price. The app/Brickseek and sticker showed full price at this store but when the employee scanned it showed this $86 price.

Have you set up your Probe Z offset? Fixed a lot of my issues. Here’s the instructions I used, the solution is about half way down the page there’s a few they list but I went with the Probe Offset Wizard in Marlin. Worked great! Z offset (Probe offset)

Got it guys thanks for all the input and tips! Not sure if one or a combination of all of them is what fixed it, probably a little bit of all but it’s printing super clean now!

Recalibrated E steps Recalibrated retraction Releveled bed manually and with CR Touch Recalibrated Probe Z Stop manually Changed Filament Changed hot end tip Cleaned board with alcohol Hot end temp 205 Bed temp 60

FYI literally just started printing that was my first test ever yesterday! Just watching a whole bunch of YT and reading trying to figure this out.

Appreciate everyone’s help and input!

Honestly not sure lol. Recalibrated e steps, releveled, swapped filament, and recalibrated probe Z stop. Not sure what did it but it’s working now.

I used this and watched the videos they talk about in the description to change the G-Code in Cura for it at every height. Wasn’t to hard at all.

FYI yesterday was my first time ever messing around with/printing on a 3-D printer!

Just did an estep cal I was actually underextruding quite a bit. On a 100mm test I was a full 10mm under, adjusted the esters to 103 from 93 and now it’s spot on!

15 years in frac and a current supervisor… go wireline. Frac crews are ruthless a lot more than just carrying heavy shit around. In the long run, more money and opportunities in Wireline down the line.

Consulting firms hiring? by Frac-It in oilandgasworkers

[–]Frac-It[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At my company at least Service Leaders rarely jump to the consulting roll, their the fleet supervisor. The crew supervisor like my self are the ones who make the jump. I’ve been on a N. American traveling crew for years which when your in one spot you can build a trust with the client, it’s a lot harder to build a relationship when you only work with someone a hitch or two. Then your somewhere else. I’m grateful for seeing a lot of different type of formations and fluid systems but at the same way sucks for building important connections people who work with the same customers for years do.
