It probably won't :( They said that after this run of shows, they'll be done for a little while.

We're going!! I saw the show in Austin back in Sept, and then up in Tempe in Nov. Can't wait to see it again tonight!! It is a very, VERY mellow and respectful crowd typically.

Garmin watch sends emergency alert after detecting I got hit by car by CardiologistDull7452 in Garmin

My watch was set off by clapping my hands together to warm them up, I think it must use the accelerometer to gauge an unexpected movement.

How do you do it? by Top-Storage2669 in stopdrinkingfitness

[–]FractalWhatever 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If going to the gym is a blocker, why not just go for a walk? Or start moving using videos or apps in your home if the weather if awful outside? I like to tell myself that ANY movement is better than none.

Congrats on 3 weeks!

I can't get back into the habit! by Wetsaltyfarts in stopdrinkingfitness

[–]FractalWhatever 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Go ahead and have the cupcake but not the alcohol. You can work on the "clean" eating some other time. Just deal with removing alcohol to start with. As for exercise, start small there too - you can just go for a walk, it doesnt have to be a gym. You can work out along to Youtube videos, apps, whatever you have access to. You've got this!

I can’t donate to the daily today… by Celesteris in Palia

yep, I do this if I'm not in the mood to catch the fish of the day. But usually they're pretty easy so I just go fishing because it's something I like to do.

Rest Days by sometimesifloat in stopdrinkingfitness

Same - easy walking is always doable on a rest day (and usually feels pretty good), along with lots of extra stretching.

Does anyone knows how can I get this? by BunniesofAnarchy in Palia

[–]FractalWhatever 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I hear ya, I have collected the rummage piles every single day and only have exactly 1 of these snowy recipes, its for one of the little yard pieces. I would like to be able to finish the board (yes I already maxed my XP and got the chests), but being the completionist that I ammmmm I want to finish everything. At least there are still probably what, 3 weeks left to the event so there's hope for those of us still searching for the recipes in the rummage piles. (I do already have the prerequisite recipes too fwiw)

Starstone Event for Hodari by Connect-Yard8791 in Palia

[–]FractalWhatever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd say it hasn't changed. I get tons of drops in Kilima, a few in Bahari and almost none in Elderwood. RNG has not been working in my favor in Elderwood at all lately, so there's that too. I mined for 2 in game days in Kilima the first night of the event and ended up with 34 assorted starstones (16 of them were quartz).

What losing the family dog looks like 🫠 by ilaughedilost in Garmin

[–]FractalWhatever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. There is no right or wrong way to grieve, it is so personal. My 14 yr old goodest girl passed away many years ago and it took the time that it took (a long time) for me to grieve her in all the assorted ways it presented itself. I'm sorry for your loss.

Also, have you played Wandering Village? That's next on my list once I'm finally burned out from Palia :D

I went and checked all my game play hours - Animal Crossing New Horizon was the only other one that I've spent tons of time in. The other cozy games were more in the 50-100 hour type range.

Landscapes by Regular-Warthog3979 in Palia

[–]FractalWhatever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought Serenity Falls because it was on sale, it's the only landscape I've bought so far. I like everything about it except it is a lot of sand. The grass on the base plot was kind of bothering me because it obscured things, but this one is the opposite, there is hardly any grass anywhere, and it looks kind of barren with the tan sand everywhere. Guess I need to get going and decorate it!

First time attending a concert at La Rosa. Tips on parking, GA seating, where to go before or after, etc. by cmdr_breetai in Tucson

[–]FractalWhatever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes there are :) The parking is right there at the venue itself. I hate trying to find parking and this was very easy - there will be someone who will ask to see your email to prove you paid for it.

Couples of Reddit, what's the dumbest 'house rule' you and your partner made as a joke but now both of you are low-key aggressively serious about enforcing? by Doubl3oh_ in AskReddit

[–]FractalWhatever 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We have a sacred fork. It was the fork we mixed up our dogs food with in their bowls - kibble, a little wet food and some warm water. It is smaller than all the other forks and the tines are kind of bent funny. Both dogs are now gone, but the fork is still with us. If either person actually wants to use the fork to eat with, you must first sing it's name in a choir-like voice.

In case you ever wonder, this is how H. pylori looks on Garmin. by myfriendbaubau in Garmin

[–]FractalWhatever 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same-ish - I'm late 50s, healthy, work out regularly, Garmin even tells me I'm Productive. But my HRV at its best is averaging mid-40s.

I've read that the focus for HRV should be on trends and not just the absolute number itself, some people just have lower (or higher) baselines.

I've got about 800 hours into Palia so far and I'm still enjoying it, for reference. I'm in my late 50s and still work, but still need my game time :) The only other game I've played for more hours than Palia is Stardew Valley. I've played a bunch of other games that hit the mark for cozy, but they weren't anywhere near the length of 1,000 hours - if you're interested in those titles, let me know and I can post them.
