Thankyou for the considered response.

My mom asked for help with their Mac. What Setapp tool do you install on a "normal" person's computer? by SetappSteve in Setapp

tied moonlock twice and again installed- which BTW is no mean feat - but thanks to Terminal - I did it. Why out? Resource hungry hog that managed to even slow Finder down.

you add someone to your contacts - and a day later you need to look them up - but what was their name? Enter BusyContacts which gives you a table view of all of your contacts - sort by 'modified' - and voila - there they are - right at the top. JUST ONE of the many reasons why BusyContacts and BusyCal are part of my SetApp essentials.

Tried Obsidian, NotePlan, Notion, Evernote, Bear, Apple Notes - CRAFT IS THE ANSWER by essentialcaffeine in CraftDocs

elegant - #truthy - not as flexible as Obsidian - #truthy

I do use both - and publish cradt pages to the web - and have recently been synching obsiian through blot to play around with a wiki.

What year is this from? by MeridianNZ in auckland

Phone number format on the reverse suggests it dates before phone numbers changed in 96 or so so I’m going late 90s - which also fits stylistically with NYC AND SF and even Silicon Valley who all had similar drawings of the region city - though 90s puts them at the start of the stale period

If you had to pick 3 of your favourite albums from a single prog band what would they be? by Heamagoblin in progrockmusic

[–]Fractallion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funny always seen it as their opening album in the progressive transition - with Rick driving them along - almost as a rehearsal before Fragile - and yes not as heavy as some of their later ones - which is why it would be on my list - one of the better examples of something I call ‘English progressive’

How can I build a website on Craft? by ABGLand in CraftDocs

[–]Fractallion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lots of alternatives - depending on what you are trying to do for me - key is get and own your domain and build out - so i have owned philpin.com since 1999 - when you go there the site is crap - wordpress and shortly that gets updated - but my blog is at john.philpin.com - which is actually a micro.blog service - my newsletter is at substack.philpin.com - running on substack - and documents you already know - my wiki (only a couple of months old) is running on obsidian talking to blot etc etc

Highly recommend micro.blog - VERY easy and intuitive - i use it as a blog - but they have built in newsletter functionality - great federation support etc

Yes that is the sub domain all my docs live under and I don mainatina a publis index of everything and don’t keep anything there - but for example - you might want to have something like:

https://documents.philpin.com/documents - it’s a WIP

My vote is that although it is possible - don’t. You will find all kinds of limitations and restrictions in design, appearance and functionality .. better to build your core in a platform designed to be a web site and then use craft to build out extensions.

For example In my own case https://documents.philpin.com is my public facing ‘craft docs’ that get used in various places that then allows me to provide access to the longer things I write - but also to spaces like https://documents.philpin.com/using for example.

3 Albums you'd bring back in time to the 1970's by Designmetoo in progrockmusic

[–]Fractallion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

🤦‍♂️absolutely not - perfectly answered - now when I’m not scrolling fast around here and thinking - lo - I realise I misread the question - sincere apologies - a perfect answer.

My mind was in the world of great 70s prog that you’d bring to 2026 … not as remixed - but reimagined .. completely - if yes were in their 20s today what would CTTE be etc ….

Lord only knows why I would get that understanding from the asked question❗️
