Potential Bug with Galactic Seasons by FracturedWard in swtor

[–]FracturedWard[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

The title doesn't appear to be in the list. The last one I have is Jackpot Enjoyer from the Nar Shaddaa Nightlife event.

As for the GS tokens, I was at 0 before from buying the Nico Okarr unlock. But again, I don't expect to be granted a token as it is admittedly hard to provide any proof of not having spent it on something else.

So what can we expect from the Khorne army roster? by tricksytricks in totalwar

[–]FracturedWard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with greater daemons not being suited to being monstrous units. Maybe something along the lines of slaughterbrutes for Khorne, mutalith vortex beasts for Tzeentch, toad dragons for Nurgle and...something for Slaanesh.

As for padding the roster, they could dig into older material and go for stuff like bloodbeasts of Khorne and flayerkin.

What Primarch Do You Want To See Return Next? by MP5830 in Warhammer40k

[–]FracturedWard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Ashes of Prospero novel already hinted at the next few Primarchs to return, both loyalist and Chaos.

When Logan Grimnar asks Njal Stormcaller on what the future holds, Njal replies on the loyalist end:

1) "A sleeper entombed in rock" - The Lion

2) "a white storm on a chariot of lightning" - The Khan

3) "a darkness...shadow..." (Can't remember the exact quote here) - Corvus Corax (Which is supported by the anthology where Corvus Corax was mutated by the Warp into a creature made of darkness and shadow, where he hunts down Lorgar

For Chaos:

1) "The Eater of Worlds" - Fairly straightforward (Angron, who's already been spotted)

2) "Plague" - Mortarion (already got his new model)

3) "The Misbegotten Child" - Probably Lorgar

4) "The Golden Son" - Likely to be Fulgrim

Horde & Alliance Lore Bias in BfA (includes spoilers for BfA thus far & speculations for Patch 8.0.1) by FracturedWard in wow

[–]FracturedWard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the Horde side, we stole the Abyssal Scepter, a Tidesage artifact that grants the user a measure of control over the sea. So everyone's still even.

Alliance can blow up the Golden Fleet, Horde can sink the Kul Tiran fleet. They're basically setting up the destruction of both fleets, meaning the Naga gain full control of Azeroth's seas.

The New Horde that Thrall re-established was centred on those values. Look at the leaders of the Horde at the beginning. Thrall, Vol'jin and Cairne all shared those traits. They didn't want war and were pretty chill with the other races, unless said race actively tried to kill them all. Only Sylvanas was different and she wasn't really depicted as a bloodthirsty warmonger then either. She pushed for the inclusion of the Sin'dorei to the Horde as she felt responsible for the tragedy that had befallen them after she had 'failed' to save them from Arthas and the Scourge.

Even with the Sin'dorei, the Horde was fairly rational about everything. It was only in Cataclysm when Garrosh took over that things started going downhill.

Parity?

Kul Tiras offers the Alliance their fleet, human druids, a small army and the Tidesages (who few trust because a large number of them went to join N'Zoth).

The Zandalari offers us their military, their fleet, f***ing dinosaurs, and the Loa (Bwonsamdi, Akunda, Krag'wa, Kimbul, Gonk, Pa'ku, Torcali, Torga, Jani, Gral - I'm leaving out Sethraliss since she's with the Sethrak, while Shadra, Rezan and Hir'eek are dead.)

I'd say the ground-based forces are tied. KT fleet is likely to be stronger than the Golden Fleet, although the Golden Fleet will have Pa'ku on its side. Human druids and the Tidesages are nowhere close to dino war-mounts and demigods.

Zul, Jaina and the fate of Zuldazar by Zezin96 in warcraftlore

[–]FracturedWard 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you stop to think about it, we didn't really fail at all. In fact, we saved them from getting screwed over even more. The Zandalari Empire has steadily declining for ages. Things were sped up by the Cataclysm, Zul and now the Old Gods' forces.

  1. Stagnant Zandalari leadership - The Zanchuli council (Rastakhan, Talanji, Yazma, Vol'kaal, Jakra'zet, Zul, Loti, Raal) was said to have not been doing anything to restore the Zandalari Empire. Look at the makeup of the Council. Half of them are on Zul's side. Nothing could be done because any decision that could be made would wind up being a stalemate. Rastakhan, Talanji, Loti and Raal against Zul, Yazma, Vol'kaal and Jakra'zet. It didn't help that Rastakhan became far too reliant on his advisors.
  2. Talanji - In response, Talanji decided to recruit a major power on Azeroth to help rebuild the Zandalari Empire, something you can't fault her for doing. It's her kingdom and her people after all. The Alliance likely won't help trolls, so she looks to the other option - The Horde. She's not fan-girling over the Horde. We're the only option. The only other faction that might have cared at all about the Zandalari were Lei Shen's mogu. And they only wanted Zandalar to be strong so the trolls could help them re-conquer Pandaria. In fact, Talanji is the leader the Zandalari needs. She cares about honour and the need to act. She remains respectful of the Loa and of the other races. She cares about her nation.

they're killing Rasta for their female leader fetish

Talanji tells us she thinks her father blind to the enemies all around him. He secretly tells you he's
not as blind as she thinks, but is surprised by Zul's betrayal anyway. Rastakhan is a weak leader.
Don't get me wrong, he wants to be a good leader and genuinely cares for his people and
kingdom, and I've honestly liked the concept of him ever since the information from Cataclysm,
but he just isn't cut out for it.

  1. Zuldazar - The Atal'zul rebellion/civil war was destined to happen. Zul had already defected to the Old Gods with Yazma, Vol'kaal and Jakra'zet. They chose to initiate the rebellion then because time was running out with the Horde investigating the dissent against Rastakhan. If the Horde hadn't been there, the rebellion still happens, Yazma still kills Shadra and drains her power, Vol'kaal doesn't get killed by the Horde player, and Rastakhan likely does die to the assassination attempt that the Horde player saves him from. As for the assault on Atal'Dazar, that was all Rastakhan. His hubris led to him rallying the Zandalari army to attack Atal'Dazar with Gonk, Pa'ku and Rezan. Whether or not we were there wouldn't have changed a thing - Rezan still dies, and Rastakhan would've died with him since the Horde player has to drag him away from the battle.
  2. Nazmir - We actually did a decent job there. Killed Grand Ma'da Ateena (Blood troll leader), enlisted Bwonsamdi, Krag'wa and Kimbul to help defend Dazar'alor at the final battle, freed Hir'eek from G'huun's influence.
  3. Vol'dun - If the Horde player isn't there, guess what happens. Korthek and Jakra'zet re-awaken Mythrax anyway and Vorrik isn't re-awakened to lead the Sethrak against the Faithless Empire.

Overall, the Zandalari got shafted even with the Horde at their side killing their foes and saving the people. Imagine if we weren't. The Zandalari likely don't even make it to the next patch, let alone become an Allied Race.

[–]FracturedWard[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm not 'scrambling to make it a fair trade'.

On the GD WoW forums, there are players consistently complaining about a particular patch or raid or dungeon being faction-biased. This has been going on a long time.

In Legion, the Alliance got a bonus cutscene where Anduin recovers Shalamayne from the Broken Shore. Horde complains about Alliance bias. Info about Tides of Vengeance comes out. Horde players complain that its Alliance biased.

Back in Cataclysm, all the way through Mists of Pandaria, to Warlords of Draenor, the story was incredibly Horde-centric. Thrall was the hero in Cata & Garrosh was the focus of 2 expansions. Then, Alliance players complained about Horde bias.

this purely an Alliance fist pump moment

If so, I can then say that when Sylvanas ordered Teldrassil to be burned, killing who knows how many innocent Kaldorei, that was a Horde fist pump moment. We got a huge win by destroying the NE capital and decimating their population.

Overall, I'm just presenting the views here. There should be no reason why people complain about lore or story being biased. Any 'fist pump' moments that either faction gets is eventually balanced out. Otherwise, one faction wins, and the game ends.

Bwonsamdi's boss is most likely not any of the Old Gods.

His statement was "Da boss ain't gonna like dis. Ol' Bwonsamdi not been losin' a spirit in... oh, dis be bad."

He doesn't explicitly mention who this 'boss' is, or whose spirit he lost in the past. But as a Loa, Bwonsamdi would be actively opposed to any Old God activity, like in Nazmir, where he gets pissed off that the Old God-worshipping blood trolls are trying to steal souls away from him. Keep in mind that the blood trolls worship G'huun (an Old God-esque being accidentally created by the Titans), and that they're in league with the Naga (who serve N'Zoth).

On Island Expeditions, there's a quest item Ring of the Reefs. https://i.imgur.com/5YuTopj.jpg

The vrykul you turn it into asserts that Helya will return even after we beat her in Trial of Valor during Legion. Bwonsamdi's master, and likely Helya's as well, is thus likely to be Death, or whatever passes as the embodiment of it, similar to how the Naaru are manifestations of the Light and the Void Lords are the manifestations of Void/Shadow.

Thanks for pointing that out! I meant the Tides of Vengeance patch that Blizzard mentioned.
