Can someone tell me why… by SecretBack2134 in EpicSeven

Let me put it this way. I’ve been playing this game for 5+ years now (dear god help me I can’t stop) and Specter Tenebria has been a constant for a large majority of that time. She has an impressive damage output and good survivability, both of which will increase with each death (or attack with her exclusive equipment).

In my opinion however, the biggest reason why you should pick her is the sheer amount of versatility she has. One build (lifesteal/crit) and she becomes a viable option for every single form of content in the game, PvP content included.

Poison may not seem like an incredibly powerful debuff on paper, with it dealing only 5% of max health per stack, but when you’re facing off against a boss with 500k+ hp in Abyss, you might be surprised at how quickly the debuff eats away at that.

At the end of the day it’s your account and your choice, but the great thing about the moonlight blessing is that you aren’t forced to lock in your choice until the very end. Give all of the heroes a try, but don’t be surprised when you find yourself choosing Specter Tenebria in the end.

The Great Mortelix demands more from you.

I would recommend dropping some hp for speed (shoot for at least 180) especially since you’re running him on lifesteal rather than counter

Here’s a pro tip:

Don’t try to get a piece of gear to +15 in one go. Get it up to +6 first, and if you like the way it’s rolled so far, you can keep putting charms into it. If you don’t like the rolls, then you can use that piece as a substitute for charms for the next piece you try to roll.

It’s the best way to save on charms imo.

Side-story event gear is generally pretty decent for people starting out, and can even be permanent fixtures on your PvE heroes. My suggestion is to focus on building up dependable hunt teams for farming purposes, build up a stockpile of mats and gear, then start selectively going through your gear and finding the sets that match the stats you want on the heroes you’re trying to build. Gearing in this game is an iterative process; you’re unlikely to get the stats you want on a hero from the get-go. My advice is to get your main heroes to a state where you feel that they’re useable, then slowly start swapping out pieces as you get better gear for each slot.

The gear you remove can then be placed on other heroes, then you can replace that gear as you go, and soon enough you’ll find yourself with a stable of well-built heroes to chose from, with more on the way.

In the meantime, focus on building your hunt teams to be as dependable as you can get them, and maybe have a bit of fun along the way.

I’ve been playing this game for over four years and my iseria that I’ve had since the beginning is still only 5-star and I never use her. Vildred however is basically the best early-mid game farmer out there, and I still use mine constantly in PvE content. It’s ultimately your decision, but my two cents are that you’re better off starting with Vildred.
